Other M/Fusion are bad just cause of the fucking hand holding, as Arloo said it takes out the actual tension of the game..

Prime 1/2 both had very very minimal hand holding(If I remember right it took a while for info to be given to the player.)

Right…and that is an exact BIG issue with 4 apparently. At least fusion it was “its kind linear and the ‘computer’ tells you goto x y z” this one, some incel keeps jabbering at you incessantly.

Stop adding “people” into Metroid…its samus vs the hostile environment that ramps up to samus vs the threat and environment

Yeah but in all of Metroid prime they have never had an annoying ass fuckwad treating Samus like they were 10 years old completely interrupting the atmosphere of the game. That video is pretty fucked up. “Hey I hear you can shoot this door!” “Hey did you save??” “Hey save point over there!” “Turn into a ball!!! You can roll through that!” It would be one thing, although very poorly done, for a tutorial if you could turn that dipshit off, but my God.

And that was literally the first companion. How bad are they other ones? And why even have companions in the first place? Metroid has always been about isolation and atmosphere.

Also escort missions? 😳

Holy Fuck who did they have making this?

It's pretty fucking bad, and I say that as somebody who usually waves off the latest internet rage-bait about some game or movie.

It'd be one thing if the guy was just annoying in cutscenes, but he TALKS OVER THE GAMEPLAY CONSTANTLY.

IN METROID.

It's like adding a Navi fairy to Dark Souls

Sam's Club has a $50 discount on the Switch 2. It expires on the 8th. I suggest you jump on it because Nintendo never does sales.

Well this is a shock, my launch Switch 2 totally died. Kaput, nada, nothing. It's been docked for a few days and worked fine the last time I played it, but it seemed to be charging unusually slow after the last few times I took it out. I can only conclude that it stopped charging altogether and eventually died. System is like 6 months old and hasn't been through any sort of rigors whatsoever.

Already regretted buying the stupid thing, now I'm out $500. Or, if I'm lucky, I can get another one off warranty, but probably lose all my save games unless it's all stored on The Cloud... that and I doubt I can get one off warranty at this point anyway, didn't get any sort of protection plan. I'll probably end up having to ship it to Nintendo and wait a month or something like that.

Wish it would have waited a couple weeks to die so I could finish playing Metroid Prime 4. After that I was pretty much done with the system anyway.

Are you able to plug the console directly into the wall via a USB C cable and a cell phone charger? As in, don't use the dock, just a straight plug into the bottom of the system. Then you can hopefully start it up and save everything to the cloud.

Not sure how, but I was able to get it to start after plugging it directly into the wall all night and then pressing the power button in various ways until it worked. It's got a low charge but it's on. I'll do a cloud backup save while I've got it on.

It seems to be able to charge and function, it just charges at an incredibly slow rate. Charges slower than it consumes the charge while running, but I might be able to get a few more hours out of it in the next few days if I play it on and off.

Sending it to Nintendo after Christmas regardless, maybe I can knock off Prime 4 in the meantime.

Really not impressed with this system, from the greedy price gouging to the Game Card bullshit to the botching of Prime 4 (and to a lesser extent Mario Kart World). Now this.

I stand by my wait for Zelda and switch 2 oled or whatever mid life refresh brings. Frankly I’ve always felt Nintendo hardware was sturdy as fuck. I have an snes that finally died. And I know what to fix. I just had two others that work.

are you using the switch2 charger from wall to console or are you actually using a random charger

does that charger even have pd? i know switch1 had issues but s2 should have solved that

try the hold down the power button and both volume buttons to reset the battery. look up the exact directions but its something like that.

In case this didn’t work, you need to do this while booting up your console.
You need to shut it off first, and then power it on holding the volume buttons.

i had something similar with steam deck when i left it unplugged for six months, the deck has a battery saver mode in bios which you are supposed to enable if you are gonna leave it unplugged for a long time. some bootup magic presses got it going again, sounds like switch 2 has something similar.

now if i know i am not gonna play my switch 2 for a while i make sure i turn the system actually off (an option somewhere) instead of just going to sleep which is what the power/shutdown menu buttons normally do.

Kind of an insane deal for CP2077 if you have a Switch 2:

Can't even buy the DLC for less then $20 on other platforms.
