Alright, I am going to try this one until the end. Fixed my settings for loot and graphics ( I use UW LG 1440P gaming). Game runs and looks goodish now. Gonna run Ksari and Dual Kats as a ninja. I got a bitchin 287 Kusarigama after the castle crucible.

Ha, yall will never guess what the first dungeon boss is...
Just seeing the room before I jumped down gave me PTSD. Especially having no sloth talismans at that point either.

Edit: anyone know how much gold you're supposed to offer at the six jizo shrines in Iinoya and Lake Sanaru?
Edit2: Nm, the one in Lake Sanaru is a
Mujina. Just give it 1 gold. Also, the soul core isn't guaranteed from them so if you really want a yellow one you can quit to title and reload to try again.
The other one in Iinoya gave me 1 ochoko cup for 1 gold and 2 cups + white quality Prayer Beads (accessory) for 1200 gold (the max allowed). So yeah, probably just give that one 1g too I guess unless you feel like save scumming to try for a high rarity one.

Twin stave is cool on paper but not sure it beats anything but hatchets so far, some very long windups and are all stagger prone.

Switch glaive remains godly, low stance into massive triple swing and has multiple infinites. Every early point into magic almost doubles the damage of spells so far as well.

Rolling switch glaive and fists and still waiting on difficulty ramp. Having a blast though, lots of interesting points to discover, tons of loot and combat remains exceptionally fun.

So far those little scampuss fuckers are easily best summon I have lol
I finally started to think about replacing it and the game gave me a L50 one.

Turn in all your hairballs to the big daddy puss, I think it was after 8 of them that I got the high level core.

Maybe I'm missing something here. What's the point of travel amulets if you can fast travel on the map pretty freely, as far as I can tell.

Not sure I've gotten any myself, but maybe for the cruicible areas like the area at the end of the demo where it says you can't fast travel or travel out of the mission unless you're next to one of the shrines? Granted only been to that one first area, not sure how many there are.

Or maybe the actual missions you can select while at a shrine? Not sure if fast travel is available in those?

Ah yeah it might be missions that lock fast travel.

So the open world is perhaps slightly undertuned, though I'm not minding it too much as it allows a lot of playing around with unoptomized builds and stuff. Fun to explore too and a lot of very interesting little nooks and cranny's. Finally starting to hit some tough bosses too and few are really interesting mechanically. Great freaking game. Running fists/SG with bombs, caltrops, flame kunai and lightning spells to get confusion ramped up.
