Yeah. I think anyone in this thread still willing to do that would have just bought one from eBay.

Well, if they have stock this is pretty amazing. Too bad Nvidia is such a shitty company, because their products are good.

isn't the 3080 still the sweet spot? esp if you get something like the TUF or STRIX which apparently can OC really well, even getting to 3090 levels at 3080 prices. For an extra what, $300 you get at least a 30% power jump?

of course since its near impossible getting a 3080 not that important, maybe getting a 3070 will be easier (lol)

i'm pretty excited to get my ps5 in 2 weeks and play games on that, honestly probably won't upgrade my PC until Star Citizen launches hahaha

If it was possible to get a 3080 at MSRP I'd say it'd be retarded to get buy a $500 3070 over a $700 3080. The difference in performance is definitely worth the $200. Unless the 3080 doesn't fit in your case or something.

XBOX ONE X performed, graphically, pretty adequately at 4K. Avengers looks amazing. However, load times are fucking insanely long compared to the 970 PRO in my PC. Something like 5-8 minutes for about 5-8 minutes of gameplay. It's the only reason I haven't been playing the shit out of it. I literally don't have the patience when I'm dealing with virtually instant load times. The PS5 and XSX are both effectively doubling or tripling the throughput on their drives compared to the 970 PRO. Graphically they may not shit out 200fps at 4K, but visual parity these days is so high it's hard to warrant buying a $700-1200 card when a $500 XSX won't be very far off. At least until PC developers start stretching their legs graphically to fill the 30x0 series pipeline.

That said, I'll still probably buy a 3090Ti in about a year and will hilariously sell my 1080Ti for $500.

If you sell that 1080ti for 500 let me know how please. More like 250.

Seeing this makes me more feel like Nvidia actually is choking supply, but the reason being that its because they know theyre screwing over all those stores and system integrators that purchased alot of cards for those prices. Now the 3000 series comes out and every single card smashes those they have sitting in stock in the face. I dont know much of distribution cost and bulk ETC but i still feel those companies that have alot of stock that they paid for will not be too pleased being unable to even break even from those old cards. I could be wrong and maybe someone else has more insight into how they works.

2080Ti is still highly priced at the moment new. Higher than the 3080, but what would happen if it was really readily avail?
