ya I had it in cart but as I was selecting stores they kept dropping - kept saying no inventory

Same thing happened to me.

Had it in my cart 5 different times, only ever allowed me to do store pickup and every store I selected (15+) was unavailable.

Best Buy can fuck off. How fucking retarded.

Got multiple items in my cart, got the no store pickup location... Even got to a payment processing spot before it stopping.

At least best buy was trying - seems like quite a few people had luck in the StockDrops discord.

I just want a 5600x & a 3060 or 3070 ;(

Use PayPal for BBY if possible, checkout process is way faster than their ecommerce one

I have a Intel Core i7-6700 CPU and my motherboard is ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING - motherboard - ATX - LGA1151 Socket - Z170 Specs

Can I get a new AMD card or a 3070/80 (stores here list more coming by the beginning of next year) or do I need to upgrade the rest? I know I probably won't get full use of the cards putting my CPU/Mobo as my bottle necks, but would I still get some benefits of it? I have a 1080gtx currently.

Kind of would like to just get a new card and swap it in without any more hassle, then perhaps upgrade the rest later on.

Yep new GPU is fine, you will still notice a performance upgrade no matter what.

Single-threaded performance for the 6700 isn't that far behind. You won't see insane FPS gains in multithreaded Havok games (like DOOM), but for everything else, you would still see a pretty massive improvement.

I'm running a 6700k with a 3090 and it's fine. I think it's good for now but I'm going to upgrade once these console games start utilizing multicore better. I feel like that's when my rig will start to fall behind when shit starts getting ported over to PC.
