Scalper sense tingles! - That aside Alienware is notorious for using special variants of cards that usually suck a fat one but still a 3070 is a 3070 ya know?

5 months or so - in time for the refresh?

You can build a 5600x 3070 for less than 2k really if you live near Microcenter - i sold a 3600 w/ 3060ti for 1800 myself a month ago - thinking to build a 5600x w/ 3070 tomorrow and see what i can get for it.
I've been just selling the cards, but I've had the opportunity to buy more parts and build a whole system if I had wanted to. I think that a whole system would be harder to sell because you cut out the miners from buying your card. I don't know, it'd be super fun to just buy all the parts, and then toss the systems up for sale. But when I build a whole system that's got premium parts, and no one wants to pay the money, because they have in their head that a pre-built shouldn't cost that much, that would suck.

Well i mainly want to sell my beast and build something smaller - the water cooling was a nice experiment but i dont utilize it.

Bitch I'm commiserating the state of things.
LOL

To me that reaction means "I didnt see anything" aka you didnt do anything wrong.

Also its worse as I went back and looked at his screenshot. Charging $560! for a fucking 1660. $408 for a 570!

Bought a 6800xt for about $1100 after shipping and taxes and felt a bit guilty (though 3080's are going for $1300+ again).

Then I sold a 3070 for $1020 after shipping and feel pretty good again. What a weird, stupid market.

When AMD Fidelity FX comes out this spring, i wonder what Nvidia will tout if/when FFX matches DLSS and that pure rasterization performance that AMD holds kicks in.

They will tout price increases and rerelease the 900 series.

At this rate I'll need to dig out my first graphics card from 98 and slap it on the market.

Wow this is the worse newegg shuffle ever - 6800 prices are straight up stupid and higher than 3080 prices
I'm assuming AMD's pricing is so much higher because of the larger RAM making it better for crypto?

Yield shortages and this generation of cards being so good for mining are driving a LOT of this. Similar things happened during the 1000 series. Yet more reason to absolutely fucking despise crypto and everything it stands for/causes.
