How big are your rims? Nonono. How many slots is your graphics card.

The latest reviews aren't as bad as expected. The 4090 seems especially good at higher resolutions, which could be a big help to a multi-screen setup. Power and temps aren't great but in line with the 3000 series. The size is as bad as the memes though.

Still going to wait it out a few months and see what the real world bros say once they are installed. But I may be buying one of these beasts.

It's funny because last gen the 3080 FE was the clear price/performance winner.

This gen it's the flagship that's the price/performance winner. That's never happened afaik.

Which one will be the most exciting to unbox, though? That's where the rubber meets the road.

Snagged a MSI Suprim Liquid X. From Adorama who's on holiday, so won't ship until next week.

I don't have much interest in gaming at 4k, but even my 3080 isn't enough to keep a lot of games from regularly dipping below 150 fps with max settings at 1440p. And though it's probably petty, that's why I want a 4090; so that I'm always getting the most from my monitor.

140-150 consistent fps at max settings on a high quality 1440p IPS monitor is where it's at, but hasn't really been achievable until now.

I mean if that 10-15 FPS is worth the $1200, plus new case/build since the fucker wont fit in your case. Youre still limited by the 144 or whatever hz of your monitor unless you upgrade that to a 250hz+ and then you will be complaining youre not getting a consistent 250 fps. Chasing that elusive cap.

Nobody "needs" a new case:

If you can fit it in that you can fit in anything.

Great cooling once you put the plexi or glass back on there, loool.
I actually tried mounting my 3080 that way in my Phantek P500a and it shot up like 15 degrees and was throttling. I think it was too close to the glass and I ended up returning the riser cable to the store. Would have like it mounted that way but it just failed keeping cool/quiet.

So basically Frame Generation is like that guy who pulls out a stack of $100 bills but only the top bill and bottom bill are 100 and the rest are 1s and 5s

So what's the layman's opinion on everything they have heard about the 4090? I am still sitting on a 1080ti and looking to upgrade, and while I think $1600 is fucking absurd, so is $1200 for a 3090ti that's significantly less powerful.

With a 850watt power supply, what is the real significance of this cards power draw that everyone talks about? Will I be homeless from my electric bill being so high?

Just get a 6900XT. The price/performance is great and then you're not supporting nVidia fuckery.
