Definitely skipping this generation of GPUs. It was way too much of a pain in the ass trying to get a 3xxx series one. Prices are going to be outrageous again. I was lucky enough to sell my 2080 super and 1080ti for what I originally paid for them to put towards my overpriced 3080.

Saw a pretty good deal at Costco today whilst shopping. Dell XPS with i7 11700 512gb SSd 1TB HD 3060ti for like $1400. $300 instant discount in stoere. Forgot how much ram it had but I think it was 16gb. Not bad considering my kid jsut bought his 3060 ti for like $800 second hand.

Well, mining crashed pretty hard. So we'll see about that, especially if they don't be dumb and release non LHR cards so that their BIOSes can be copied to the later LHR ones they do release while pretending they fixed the issue.

who's ready for another paper launch? I for one can't wait not being able to buy one

creating artificial scarcity is the best way to push up prices

To be fair, it's a very different world than 2 years ago. 2 years ago cost of everything was low and money was getting handed out. Now everything has had cost go through the roof and people aren't getting free money.

Seems very short sighted. There are a bunch of people like myself who had traditionally built a new machine every few years who simply didn't bother the last few years owning to crypto-driven scarcity of parts.

At the very least they should go a quarter with items reasonably available at MSRP before they start pruning their supply chain.
