I got a PNY card in my cart at Best Buy and I don't even know how that happened, so I just removed it.

Swedish prices for the 4090 seems to be $2200-2800. Who the hell would consider that.

My 5900x and 3080 works more than fine for my cheapish UW 1440p monitor and the games I play. I hope it will last as long as my 3570k with the GTX 680 lasted (8 years) but I doubt it.

I am considering upgrading my 5700XT to like a 3070TI or something for my 1440 144hz monitor.

Might as well buy a 6900XT for the prices they're going for now.
Are they better than the 3070ti? I'd prefer to stay with AMD actually.

Edit looks like they are.

AMD smart access memory is the tits. Really considering buying a 6900XT soon to replace my 6700XT.

This sounds a little dumb without seeing the 7000 series prices.
Which is exactly why I said "considering" and "soon" - that's essentially all that I'm waiting for. But, based on nVidia, I have a feeling AMD is going to be priced pretty stupidly as well.

Ordered a 1000W PSU and a 6950xt.

After watching the some videos today about the new intel chip. Everyone is gonna need this type of PSU soon. Almost 300 watts on a CPU? Combine that with new GPUs, just insane. I am honestly worried about where they go with the next couple iterations.

I would think we reach a point where efficiency becomes paramount at the cost of pushing the fidelity envelope. People will at some point be unwilling to continue increasing juice and size/efficiency etc and I suspect other solutions will have to present themselves for similar performance but smaller (leveraging AI, etc?). It's interesting certainly.

funny enough, I had a EVGA Supernova 1000W 80+ Platinum for my last build in 2015, powering a 980GTX, i4790k, 16gb ram.
when I built my new PC last year, I put a EVGA SuperNOVA 850W 80+ Gold SFX in with my 5900x and 3080 TUF.
