The only thing that can throw a wrench into things for them is that AAA games continue to blow ass. So, it's possible to stick with cards a generation or three old.

At one point I was doubting myself wondering if I should have waited for the 5xxx series to purchase my Starforge prebuilt but glad I didn’t. I’m very content with my 4090 especially with the shortage, issues and price gouging on the 5xxx series graphic cards. My friend is trying to get one from them after seeing my rig but he’s on a waiting list and no telling when they will have some in stock.

Either Nvidia's Quality Control is reprehensibly bad or they knowingly sent out under-spec units because supply was so low.
Now we just need AMD to shit their bed with a card that's "Extremely Shitty at Ray Tracing... but $50 cheaper than the GeForce raster equivalent!" to salt the earth for this entire gen.
(To reiterate, we're rapidly approaching War Games logic - the only way to win is not to play, and intentionally design with lower poly art styles that anything can run.)

I cant see how they wouldn't know. They just didn't care. That video says they claim .5% of cards. Consumers dont care, they will keep demand high and just roll the dice and hope they dont get a problem card. Even if it was something higher like 15% of cards, consumers wouldn't care and still buy. You could try to class action, but they made how much last year, no amount, that has a good chance of winning, will bother them.

Market cap for Nvidia is $3.10 trillion. There is NO EXCUSE at all. They knew. They don't care. The consumer gpu market is peanuts.

Increasing production in preparation for an NVidia fuckup takes a lot of logistical changes. Intel may have kept their production numbers the same, never expecting a veteran company in the industry to fuck up so bad, when, according this thread (I think), that last release showed an improvement in distribution/supply.
