Also I have a 5070 ti I need to sell if anyone’s interested. It’s a Zotac and runs great, smallish and quiet. Looking for around 600

I read that earlier. Said the company kept it. Wasn't clear as if the company wanted it or had ethics issues with a "payoff" of a gift while on company time.

The girl (intern) was "forced to resign" and kept the 5060.

Seems like communist brain is still alive in China, although the girl's unwillingness to surrender the card show signs of capitalism.

Interns are mostly paid in 'valuable real world experience' and 'opportunity for advancement', so that doesn't surprise me much. I dunno on the commie/capitalism front though - CEO takes money from his peasants valued employees for personal gain is pretty peak capitalism ;p

Jokes aside, they probably have a company policy limit on the value of acceptable gifts which the card exceeded. Most western companies do as part of anti-bribery/corruption practice.
