I know nearly all 'cherry' flavoring is really grenadine, made from pomegranate juice.
I also know it is called grenadine because the fruits reminded people of early explosive grenades, pomegranate being literally "grenade fruit", which sounds like the straightest of produce.
I don't know how any of this ties to graphic cards.

You're missing the point. You don't have to specifically google it. They have such a complete data profile on you that they know which dishwasher you have in your house, how often you run it, what the typical lifespan is, and when you'll be looking to replace it. And it's like this for everything in your life.
Every single purchase you've ever made, ever computer you've ever interacted with, every form you've filled out in an office or for a job application or for a survey. All of it. It builds a complete 'person' out of the data aggregation to the point that listening to your conversation is just a waste of time - they already know everything you'd ever talk about.
