An MMORPG of this scope just isn't a project that's compatible with a small development team. The industry and the tech evolves faster than the game can be assembled. If it does somehow make it to market, it'll be an antiquated, ugly mess of a game (I mean, it already is...). I don't think it would be possible to successfully do what Pantheon is attempting to do even with a small team of the best MMORPG talent in the business. And with the team of industry rejects that Pantheon has strung together, just forget about it.

Happily, on the "good news if you're insane" front, 'iksar', fanboi extraordinaire #2, confirmed this evening that in-combat mana regen is no longer a mechanic for Pantheon:

Wow. I mean, I know we've all been asking for an EQ successor, but I didn't mean that the game had to look literally like it was made in 1999.
Can't wait to log into the game 5 years from now and climb rocks...
