Women usually make a bigger deal out of a woman's tit size than men do. Don't break my immersion.

Brad, get on those male avatars. And let players log into the game with their Grindr credentials too.

I follow you on twitter simply because you seemed to be as excited about this game as I am. Has your stance changed since the kickstarter?
No, I want Pantheon bad. Too bad, probably. When Brad first started tweeting vague references to an old school MMO I was ready to pounce on it the first time he actually confirmed he was making something (and this thread was born). Any respect my wife has left for me she's going to lose if Pantheon doesn't happen because I'll go emo for a month.

I'm frustrated with the Kickstarter pitch because there are so many oversights, they've had to correct so much and it's still not being handled right, which means the whole project is being put in jeopardy. I love Kickstarter because magic can happen. Everyone points out all the shady stuff thatcouldgo wrong but without it, I wouldn't be playing through Broken Age right now and something like Pantheon wouldn't have a chance of happening.

However, before any team attempts it: Do. Your. Research. Compare your rough draft to a successful campaign. All this "we've got multiple classes to reveal over the coming weeks" simply means they're losing money they may not get back. Every Kickstarter view should be assumed to be a one and done. Right now if you go to the Pantheon page and hit the stretch goals section you can find a list of stuff this game won't have, including races and classes. What about the races and classes it does have? Oh, they're not saying? No pledge. Who knows if they'll come back, and who knows how much content will have been dripped out by then.

If you accept that you have a limited audience and are seeking crowd funding, when you make your big debut you should make as much noise as humanly possible. "We don't have rangers, but we do have warriors, clerics, shadowknights, rogues, wizards, shamans." I should have had the word EverQuest ringing in my ears and the Q&A videos should have all been released.

Sorry for the rant. I fucking want this game bad enough to help run a fan site which is something I never really intended to do because it's not in my nature. I can take or leave this genre on damn near any day of the week, but when you start saying things like "we want to bring back the EQ magic," I get all obsessed. I'm incredibly optimistic about Pantheon, just not its Kickstarter.

I pretty much agree with gogojira - I think they think releasing information in slow drips is good, its not. They should release as much info as they can early on - and then release things like the dungeon example later. I know they need updates daily - but no matter how much info they released at start there would still be many, many questions. So we'd still get the QA updates and of course Lore updates.

Still waiting on PCGamer.

Very true, we need a large info drop. I'mhopingthe PC Gamer article is the big info drop and not a rehash of the information we already have.

Just my opinion, and I am a supporter, but it would have helped immensely to have been able to present to us just a small little play through. Something tangible that shows an example of some of his concepts and ideas. Something visual that people can watch and think "Oh wow, this dude is serious". "hey guys, was thinking something like this as far as X is concerned". Instead of just talking about his ideas. Show us examples. People like to see stuff.
OR, as many have suggested, should have made this KS just a small one in order to GET to that point, then release another KS later with little nuggets of play-through to tantalize the masses in order to fund the actual game.

You have to ask yourself, do they even have that much information? It really looks like stuff is being worked on then and there, then released, it does not look like there is a stockpile of information/content ready to go and just being saved.

They have classes, races and Q&A videos they're trickling out. We keep getting random concept art drops, too. The tiers are another monster altogether and the visual aids (charts, stretch goal graphics, fonts, etc.) are worth more attention than they've been given.

gogo hit the nail on the head, they think..

they though, for instance, that an initial class reveal of the cleric would have been a strong and positive statement to distinguish pantheon from the series of no healer titles ala Eqn, I'd put money on that being the thought process behind that move. yet they though wrong. had they led with monk, bard, blood mage, etc I bet the reaction wouldn't have been as negative.

I couldn't agree more. I really wish he would have previewed the tiers to a few of us who have been hounding him on twitter for months. I could have easily told him within a minute that the tiers were borked. /sigh Best we can do is get the word out. I got Brad another $250 pledge earlier and hopefully will get some more.

i know this is nit picking, but is there anyone else besides me that's not enamored with the name of the game? i think pantheon by itself isn't horrible, but rise of the fallen makes it sound like it's a viagra pill.

I assumed it had a personal motif for Brad because of his history. Which is fine, personalizing the creative experience gives it a better chance at being good.

Keep the faith guys. The team knows they need to get the info out.. It's hurting them a lot. I keep seeing people making comments on various sites, that when they visit the KS, there is nothing engaging about it. We've already said it, the old school theme will only go so far. It's time for details, more concept art and demos. They should put a focus on those things and deliver them in a High quality manner. There are a ton of people on the fence, waiting for them to give them a reason to back.
