Should have, but she had been a little jerk for a while that day so I wasn’t in the mood. My response in the even-but-thoroughly-unhappy-with-you voice annd along the lines of “oh, so I should go away? Or you want me to go in the trash?”
She snapped out of it and responded in a sheepish/quiet/“oh, I just messed up” voice and face with a ‘No”. I turned up the “you messed up” tone and said if she ever called me or anyone else in the house garbage again, she’d be more sorry than she could imagine.
She’s feisty to begin with, but has been getting mean lately when things aren’t how she wants and/or tired.
