Thats another thing too. Like what are they are doing all this farming for divs and mirrors, like WTF for? They are DEFINITELY not using 1000 divines and 10 mirrors even if they built another 5 characters and equipped them with the best of the best. which you know the vast majority of them wont. Even if you RMT the shit last time I checked a div is like .30c? So all that farming for days and days and you make $500, $1000?
Dunno about this league since it's garbage and quitting at the start of act 3 is the best decision I could have made, but Fubgun easily had 4-5 mirrors in his LA build in 0.3. If you have more mirrors than you know what to do with you can always use them for their actual purpose too.

Economy is just fine. Shit that was a div before still is a div. Shit that was 45 div before is still 45 div. Exalts inflated, yeah, but thats because they really have no use but that happens in every league anyway 3-4 weeks in.

The Vaal farming shit is really a few people that literally play POE for a living and have the fucking time to do so anyway. Even with the stupid Exploit, which is gone now anyway, it still took shit loads of time to set that shit up for those mad profits.


But the economy is not fine. When I started playing ~10 days ago I was looking at Uul-netol gem and it was 3 div. by the time I got to maps it was 7 divs. by the time I had 7 divs it's 23. I look at an upgrade today, go to sleep, wake up in the morning and it's 30% more expensive.

That's normal PoE (both 1 and 2) behavior. Happened to me with multiple items in the current PoE1 league -- Svalinn was consistently 5-10 div more than I could manage to farm, Perfect Forest Tiger went from 20 to 45 in the space of an afternoon and has stayed there ever since, Impossible Escape (MoM) spiked so high that I had to completely rework my tree to use a different location, etc. Same shit happened in PoE 0.3 with a couple items too. All it takes is one streamer with a moderate size audience to decide to use a particular item and you're fucked.

It's even more fun when some asshole at GGG decides to choose what you're playing for a featured build video on the official channel, like what they did with Last Lament in 0.3 before nerfing it into the ground for this league.

I've always hated leveling warrior. Found a totem build to try and the guy recommended changing to Volcanic Fissure at like 22 and it's so much more fun than the stupid rolling slam shit you have to do to level warriors. I changed to the cluster grenade crossbow totem build at 52 and it just annihilates screens. Rolling through the interlude at a record pace for me with one button.

There is at least a mirror to that when you're off the beaten path a bit and your stuff is cheap. Playing league to league stuff does fall in and out of favor.

It's not much comfort in the moment when your plans just got lit on fire though.

Yeah warrior starting skills fucking blow. They are good to roll as a second character. When you have enough currency to keep him equipped with a good weapon and some armor. But once the Warrior starts ramping at around act 2-3, hes super powerful and damn near indestructible with his titan ascendancy and armor stacking. I tried to league start with him in this league and gave up, lol, rolled a druid. So much more fun and more powerful in the beginning game. But now im beginning to get my warrior leveled up.

It's a game, not a job. If the things I want are getting further away with my available play time, I'll just stop playing (just like everyone else). Fubgun & Mathil can build a dick out of those mirrors and ride it in the sunset.

0.4.0c Hotfix 12​


  • Temporarily disabled Holten Vaal Beacons generating Energized Crystals. This will be fixed in a more permanent way later.
  • Map Areas now grant additional Energized Crystals, scaling with Map Tier and number of Modifiers. This results in double the number of temple runs you can do when using 6-mod Tier 15 maps.
  • Temple Monster Effectiveness now scales with temple level just like how monsters in Maps do. This results in 40% higher drops and monster life at temple level 80. Just like in Maps, this doesn't affect unique monsters.
