Personally, I don't hate the game at all, just think it has a lot of things it needs to make it a better version of POE1. The passive tree is pretty boring, and all of the activities are essentially the same as the first game.

Looking forward to next week's reveal, will see what they came up with.

The main issue with the passive tree is that a +4 Vertex has more gain for every single build than like 20 passive points or more. Once you have the one or two passives you really need, skill gem level outpaces everything.

I kind of liked ToTA as an alternate gameplay mode for that league. I have a feeling they are going to remove all the chill/good parts of it, and ramp up the "This fucking sucks" parts of it as is PoE2 tradition at this point

Wouldn't even be surprised if it doesnt make this update, seems like they have been teasing it a long time but it never releases.

Sounds really neat for someone that didn't get to experience it in POE.

TotA but you have to dodge roll a bunch of heavy tracking one-shot abilities. Getting your guys to do any of their specials requires mana and a button press akin to Gas Arrow on Skeletal Archers. You're too slow to take advantage of it being broken during the first weekened but quit before the later patches that eventually hit a good balance.

They are really shitting on the corpse of Blizzard with this one. They've added like 5x more in 1 league cycle than Blizzard has added to Diablo 4 in 3 years. It shows off how much better their process has been with a strong base, PoE 1, to incorporate and build off of when Blizzard had a husk in Diablo 3.

They kept the worst part of the endgame. Was there anything revealed outside the trailer that would mitigate the idiocy of an infinite atlas?

Looks like their goal is, if they tie enough of maps/atlas to endgame content, that it'll compensate for the current atlas and salvage it. We'll have to see how the new systems play before we can judge whether they succeeded or not

Yeah, I could honestly say the atlas would slightly be more bearable with new classes and weapons. New endgame content can only feel so fresh when you're running it with the same classes/skills as the last several patches. Druid is the only reason I played the last league.

They fucked up the core gameplay loop too much at first and that REALLY needs to be fixed unfortunately. But my god are they dragging their feet on admitting it and PROPERLY fixing it. They're being stubborn which is making it take forever and the other stuff like the missing classes and itemization is suffering as a result.

Remember when they said it would be full release in 2025? Kek
