If they want to make it hard, make it hard. It just takes so fucking long, then to get right to the end and have some RNG BS fail you out. Temple seems fine until you realize for the 4th ascendency you have to do 3 different runs to get 3 different pieces to finally face the final guy, screw that. It's neat but I always put it off until I get 80+ because of the time sink it turns into.

man i am trying to do the challenge league bits and i STILL have not seen a single 7 rune runestone. i'm mid expedition quest, doing utred's logbook. i've been doing T15 maps basically the whole time i've been mapping. i've finished the atlas tree, delerium, temple. most of breach.
did i miss a quest in the campaign? do i need to finish the expedition questline fully?

Everything cleared besides the Temple. Might do it a bit later, or not.
Challenge was better than PoE1's grind, maybe a bit too easy. But that was my main goal this patch, to finish the Challenge.
Monkey kills every boss and every rare in 1-3 seconds. Kind of made the whole thing a bit too trivial.
Fun patch but still have not found my "comfy build" in this game yet. In PoE I have Absolution or Righteous Fire that I go back to.
Not sure what League Mechanic I prefer either, they all got some kind of annoying side area thing.

But you can't just blast through any of them, you still have to tediously not get hit through sekhemas 4 times, which is like 40+ fights, rooms whatever or go through 3+1 ten stage trials of chaos, with weird factors every making everything more and more difficult.
Make it 10 hard of something, not 40, is the point.

They had a perfectly "fine" mechanic for ascending with Labyrinth. Sure, it isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than what they replaced it with and at least you can blast through Lab.
Temple has got to be one of the their worst leagues, ever. The fact it went core is just horrible. Not only is it the only content type you aren't really getting anything for while running maps, you then can get completely RNG fucked trying to build the goddamn thing on top of it. I had 4 temple runs in a row where I literally couldn't get to the architect because of the medallions I kept getting, combined with shitty rooms.

Temple is just bad. Takes hours and hours to set the shit up for any profitability. Plus they are so deathly afraid of what happened last league they nerfed the ever living shit out of it. I ran it a few times, got the quest atziri down but thats it. Not worth my time. When the other leagues are just so much more profitable for the time invested.
Also while I ran the quest version, the temple was stuck at lv 74. I was 94 or some shit. feelt bad. Dont know how the fuck to fix it. They need to just put in a reset button in that fucker so that it demolishes all of your rooms and you start fresh. Especially when you fuck it up in placement or whatever.

I had played through the first games campaign before starting out on this one, and the labyrinth was actually something I really enjoyed once I figured out what to do. I just did the two I guess you do during the campaign, but I thought it was a lot of fun, and I don't really care for the new version of it whatsoever. I know a buddy of mine just did his fourth ascendancy last night and he's like 80 something.
I did see something saying to try to do the ascendency for three and four with the stupid chaos deal versus the labyrinth replacement because it's supposedly easier, but I have no clue if that's true.
I'm on the very last step of the interlude, I guess that will unlock the rest of the game. I'm having a blast though, and can't wait for the rest of the game to come out. Our little group is really enjoying it.

Difference between temple and sekhema for last ascendancy is not having to worry about getting shafted by the honor mechanic and winning or failing based on your build/play alone. Sekhema punishes people with tanky/low damage builds.

sekema's is pretty 'easy' and doable as long as you follow these guidelines:
1. don't be melee. lol melee.
2. juice your honour resistance to 75%, get a little bonus percent honour, get some merchant discount.
3. NEVER TAKE RANDOM BAD THING. ever. don't go where it's random. don't accept a trade of a good for a random. it can instantly end your build when your ES guy has no ES.
4. avoid rooms that give bad things that effect your build.
5. gather all the sacred water you can. ifall options are equal, take merchants > sacred water > buff giver > nothing > bad thing that doesn't effect you > bad thing that does.
6. buy out the merchant.
7. try to never get hit lol.

It’s not hard, it’s long and tedious and even though it has huge profit items the vast majority of people will never run it and pay for the ascendancy, but good news they are testing tota out in poe1 and I’d bet it comes to poe2 shortly after.

I was blasting floor 4 Sekhema's for people's alts on my summoner a week ago or so. Took ~35 minutes to get Zarokh and then I'd just blast him. Once you get 75% resistance and a decent amount of increased max honor it's pretty easy. The problem is most people can't get that resistance until they've run a few trials more than the minimum required. You can buy relics of course, but that's shitty.
It is pretty hilarious having a level 17 with 8 Ascendancy points ready to go. One of my guildmates somehow manage to get his 8 points but forgot to choose an Ascendancy so he had to go then do a level 22 one to click the altar.
Trial of Chaos is maybe faster, but there's still mechanics that can fuck you in there. You get the same choices, but depending on how your build works you can absolutely fuck yourself over there too.
