RobXIII RobXIII this man speaks the truth. I started after my buddies did, and I got pissed because I didn't have to cut my teeth on some of the earlier story bosses same manner they had. Lots of uniques and other hand-me-down pieces of gear I had the leveling experience a lot easier.

I would give the game a shot because I've never played it before but it's honestly a hell of a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it immensely. I don't think there's anything quite like it.

I get that loading issue, especially at start up and doing first few things, but im definitely not freezing every other map, in fact game runs fine for the most part other than the loading thing. And I play in long spurts of 6+hours, although sometimes AFK for hour or more. Maybe on some juicers I get some fps slow downs but thats it.

GGG said it's a Direct x/ /Nvidia issue. The game recompile shaders every time you start a new game or load a map. Its an optimization issue. Blizzard is better than GGG when it comes to optimization. Vram usage is crazy

I mean, thats fine. Ill take a bit of jank along with the better game play and overall better game. Also keep in mind that this is still EA and they just dropped a full games worth of content in 0.5.

I changed from Direct X to Vulkan and have zero stutters. I do get the map.issue but hitting the home button on the right usually clears it. The issue with the infinite Atlas is that shit is too infinite.

My shader cache folder in steamapps was up to 80 GB yesterday lol. Deleted that shit and that cleared uo a lot of the stuttering. They really do need to hunker down and work on performance issues

Ask here and we'll get you in the guild if you arent already in it. Guilds huge and the bank has a lot of leveling gear in it. Should be able to pick up a new weapon and one tap most monsters on the map. I put in some staffs that carried me through all the leveling that are +all spells. etc. But if its not for you, its not for you. Sometimes you do just feel like you're up against the wall.

Also, if you are just stuck on a current boss - you're late in the season, but if you see someone online in the guild; we'll usually break from what we're doing within a few minutes and kill your boss for you. Its nbd, seriously.

Use this if you have an AMD card, game was unplayable without (in a universal issue for AMD since they removed the fuckign setting from Adrenaline)

I'm AMD and have played around with every possible setting. What works best for me is DX12, clearing out shader caches, flush DNS, and the occasional hard reset on my router. Usually good for a couple days of running maps. Native resolution, no upscaling (2k). Medium textures.

Yeah, the "workaround" posted above is only temporary. Eventually, it'll start stuttering again.

It's a GGG problem. It's cute that they want to blame the manufacturers, but PoE 1 has been a performance nightmare for nearly its entire run as well.

Or you could just play Diablo and do none of that bullshit because the game is made by a superior company

GGG needs to support FSR 4.0 like yesterday, especially now that it's available for 7xxx series (and even older cards by not too long after 1.0 releases). NIS, XeSS, and the ancient version of FSR 3 they have now are all fucking garbage. What really sucks is that Optiscaler works right now but their stupid anti-cheat will flag you sooner or later if you use it.

Only other problem I've had with my system is the endless gears/red background that would happen every time I got quest progress that tried to open the atlas. That was apparently an engine bug that got fixed in 0.5.3.

Everything else I run into is network related because some retard insists on forcing everyone to use lockstep even though nobody uses that shit in PoE1 when they have the option to switch to predictive instead.

Anyone played a gemling legionnaire build? I haven't been playing much since I hit 96 on my djinn build because xp is excruciatingly slow beyond that point, but I still have quite a lot of atlas to finish to get all the challenges done. Was thinking about trying a different build to squeeze more time/interest out of the league. Need something that will clear a screen with good move speed, but there's zero chance I'll ever have the currency to buy a mageblood or anything else in that price range. Got like 120 div now without selling any of my current gear off, which I definitely don't want to do since I know that nothing else I play is going to come remotely close to the djinn build when it comes to doing huge single target damage while being nearly immortal.

Leaning toward Glacial Bolt at the moment since it kind of reminds me of the best build I ever played in either PoE (Last Lament Lich, before the asshats completely destroyed that item), but I also have no idea what the best way to level a merc is.

It is mind bottling that they have no waifu outfits. You can basically only be more spikey and covered in mor3 metal or fire.


Man I would kill for a micro that super mutes me and my minions effects. All of them. I would buy it for each of 9 minions

I appreciate it and will take you up on the gear / guild. When I played WoW, we had this one...acquaintance that would literally ask you for help every other solo quest. I refuse to be that guy lol. I see the potential in the game despite some QoL issues.
