Weapon points are allocated separately. The green and pink lines denote the separate weapon points. He apparently uses only one set of weapons, but he has two setups for them. One clear and one single target. You can see the Set 1 and Set 2 setups for his gems and those ability are set to those weapon set points.

He also has Rakiata's which is at least 30% more dps than anything else and up to like 85% more damage in certain cases.
But it doesnt let me allocate any more points....in order to use the weapon set points I have to refund an existing one. Wonder if it's because I'm using a controller? IDK will mess with it tonight if I get a chance.

When you assign a point, it can either be a weapon set point specifically for that weapon set, which "gives you another point" for the other weapon set, or a generic point that counts for both weapon sets. The weapon points can be used as generic points too, so if you just assign everything as generic you won't have left over weapon set points. You have to unassign normal points, then assign them into 2 different weapon sets if you want to convert them(1 normal point gives 2 weapon points, one for each set, because they become exclusive). Also a pathing point cannot be a weapon set for obvious reasons(like if you have a branch, the branching point needs to be generic, then each branch can be weap 1 and weap 2, but the branching point can't be a weapon specific otherwise it'd allow you to do free pathing).

It's only overwhelming because gamers have this weird fetish where they feel like they have to do EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE!!!

I've run literally nothing but Breach in the end-game and have made plenty of currency. You don't have to interact with every fucking system there is, same as PoE 1. Just interact with the shit you find fun.
Whats really sold me besides the quests telling you to "go here" on the map board, was that completion of one series fed over into other shit. So anything I do now has a chance to have some big ass Abyss ant hill attached to it, that'll most likely "infect" other maps. So Ill be doing a breach map or something and still get all the bonuses from having completed Abyss maps. Same with the other trees.

Im not saying the design is perfect, but it does feel like you're building something up other than "number bigger" at the end game now. Though - maps are starting to take 2-3 times as long to complete now. Which I dont know if thats a con or not, because the Abyss hole zones all make you go to the top left for the boss /reward.

//

I really liked the idea of them making alts "easier" - as the Uniques thing next patch will "probably" inspire me to take a second character up to max level "if" I find a legendary I actually want to use.

But things like the Abyss line, Breach line, Expedition line, etc. I feel like end game shit like that, should be account wide per season. Because you're completing what.. at minimum 35 maps to finish up the Abyss line all by itself? Never mind the maps it takes to get there. Like.. I'd like to do a different build right now but I dont want to grind through all that shit again. If they did something like that - maybe its short sighted, but that shit would be great for someone with my time constraints.

The endgame and atlas quests are account wide

It's not fully account wide, if you've been playing standard and start over in HC, HCSSF or SSF it isnt carried over.

How does that work anyways? I know the goal is to get crafting bases but what are cutoffs, is there a certain negative value that ensures only whites drop, and is that not possible if you take all the atlas rarity points?

Not sure the cutoffs but you're basically just trying to farm exceptional high ilvl bases. Not sure if it's a thing anymore but people were making a ton a few leagues back.

They have to give us the ability to unspec atlas points. I'm sure it will happen at some point.
It's only an issue because GGG can't help themselves with this retarded, "If it has an upside, it needs to have a downside too!!" philosophy. And that's fine when you can't get everything, but if you can get the entire tree, it needs to be ALL upside - the only "choice" needs to be exactly what type of upside you want.

So I installed exile exchange to price check stuff, but it causes lag. It seems it's the same issue I was having with the discord overlay, but the steam one doesn't have the problem. Any suggestions on fixing it?

I don’t know the breakpoint but lower tier maps on a new character don’t activate your atlas points, I’ve got a decent amount of div and I started in t6 with my gemling and it told me I needed a higher tier map for them to be activated, I went from t6 to t15 so I don’t know where the actual cut off is.

Middle third is 70+ areas, top third is 75+ areas. I just want to be able to turn off the god damn wisps if I want to and turn off rarity if I want to go after high level bases.

I guess it pays to price check remnant rewards while leveling... I had one with Voltaic Barrier level 9 (the lowest, I think?) as a reward and the thing ended up selling for 80 divs. I don't even know what build(s) use it but it doesn't look like it is one of the ones like Verisium Manifestations that people want at level 7 because they'll never level it up further. So basically just they're spending that to twink through the campaign a few minutes faster.
