Well, I hit level 98, but I just don't have the stomach to grind the rest of the way. Getting 1% (or less) EXP per fully juiced map is miserable. They really need to add more ways to level efficiently besides praying for Untainted Paradise maps to pop up.
Overall, this has been a fantastic league. PoE 2 is finally in a genuinely good spot, and for the first time I'm actually looking forward to 1.0. That said, there are still a couple of major issues that need attention.
1. Map layouts are still terrible.
Where are the Mesa-style maps? Dunes? Strand? City Square? Cemetery? Right now it feels like your choices are basically grass or desert biomes, and both are still packed with walls, elevation changes, dead ends, and awkward layouts. PoE 1 has much stronger map variety. If you prefer open layouts, you have options across almost every biome. In PoE 2, "open" maps are extremely limited.
2. We need better control over league mechanics.
I know GGG has said they don't want blocking to work the same way it does in PoE 1, but the current system is frustrating. Running dual league mechanics at once feels awful because you're forced to use three tablets just to get reasonable consistency, and even then your maps are still cluttered with random mechanics you don't care about.
If the philosophy is "play the content you enjoy," then let us actually do that. Give us a way to block mechanics we don't want and shift that value into the mechanics we do. Right now, that level of player agency is one of the biggest things PoE 2 is missing.
