I'm surprised they've survived the nerf bat as long as they have. GGG needs to nerf them while also doing a sweeping buff of almost all other support gems. This isn't even getting into all the support gems that are way too conditional. I almost long for the days in PoE 1 where you essentially just stacked more damage multipliers.

Of all the stupid YouTube video game twitch streamers, you had to post that fucking weirdo. I remember seeing him pop up when Diablo 4 originally released, and I just can't stand him, He's got a gay lisp, and needs to cut his hair, because he's a fag.

DM Grows on ya, the worst is that Zyzsomethingoranother, I can’t believe that guy is married, I bet his wife’s boyfriend fucks them both.

Yeah when he said in a vid I watched he and his family were moving I’d assumed he was in a Pete Buttigieg situation lol

Yes, he is a strange dude, and I hated him when I first saw him. He has gotten more bearable over time, but the lisp is endlessly annoying.

Unfortunately when you search for builds, the algorithm is going to spit a bunch of meta bullshit at you. For example, I typed in pathfinder builds and the first two pages were all deadeye bullshit. And then when you look at them, they're all rakiatas/garukhans. Yeah, no shit, stuffing 600 div worth of gems into your builds makes it great, huh?
I mean, I was blasting maps with my deadeye for a long time before I got my lock drop that let me buy headhunter and garukhans...

That shit is the same for every build, too. Nobody is making guides about their 2div build that can 17 minute clear a t15 map that has 4 mods and no tablets. It's all finished versions of builds.

Rakatas basically is for elemental builds which take the mobs resistances and inverts them. So if they have 50% fire. It makes it so its -50%.

The other gem is for crit builds. Which rolls your crit twice and takes the best result.

They both need to be nerfed to the ground because once you have them it basically makes all content even more trivial than it already is at end game if you have a meta build.
Yeah? And then lets nerf ES, and pets, and spark, and temporalis, and remove headhunter and mageblood, and take out all the omens and stuff that allow people to craft mirror items, etc. etc. etc. because all that shit makes content trivial.

Or they could just buff life. Can't believe we're still having the life vs ES issue, feels like the beginning of PoE 1 all over again.

My gut feeling is that they'll do both. Small boost to life because you really just can't get enough of it on a normal budget build while also trying to juggle 4 resists and also still doing dps, but I expect they will also gut ES values across the board again. I find life alone unbearable to play in PoE2 so I did EB/MoM, ward+guard, and CI this league and ES wins by such a huge margin that nothing else is even worth considering imo. I liked the skills and gameplay better with the other two builds, but went back to my djinn sorc each time because of the massive difference in survivability.

It'll probably be nerfs to ES on the tree, and perhaps another life boost on the affixes or finally put life on the tree. Some of those nodes are ridiculous. I can get ES and Evasion like what? Life doesn't have anything near comparable. You could argue that ES is more affix starved then life since you only need the 1 affix for life, but then the argument that life only becomes worth with tons of regen/leech then that argument goes right out the window.

I think maybe life will get buffed one more time on items and maybe even buff the recovery mechanics of it too somehow.

Hot take - Ward could have saved some life builds if it didn't take armor away when you added ward....

You say that like it's not already guaranteed to happen several more times before 1.0.
Maybe it will, hopefully it won't. Don't ignore the 17 other things I listed (and all the ones I didn't) tho. The entire point is that it's retarded to nerf everything in the game that "trivializes content". You know why people are actually having more fun now? Because the game is less of a fucking slog-fest pile of shit than it was and they've slowly started to let people actually go fast and kill stuff (aka have fun). The correct way forward is not to nerf everything that can do anything at all so we can go back to the good ole days of everything being dogshit so that the content can be 'meaningful'.

What's a djinn sorcerer like? Do you turn into a djinn or summon them?

Summon them, it's a sort of caster/summoner hybrid, you can play pure caster with the summons only for utility(notably good for hardcore cause it's quite tanky), or you can play summoner but the djinn summons behave like spells where they're not present permanently but you press a button to tell them to use their skills. Very active summoner but one of the stronger builds currently, and also has good defenses based on ES.

That sounds kind of neat maybe I'll make that when my buddy starts playing.

Whether they nerf ES or not depends on if what direction they tune future content towards. If we get more expedition difficulty, I can see them sparing it and just buffing life. As it is, my monk can face tank anything but fully juiced expedition and he only has about 1000 div worth of defensive gear. He's at 9k ES 65% evade 60% deflection and I can push that a little higher but it'll cost a few K more in divs.

I've only got 150 div or so into my sorc and it feels invincible with about 15k ES. Sorc does make ES quite a bit stronger than anyone else though. And to be fair I've barely needed to upgrade anything since like the middle of week 2. No idea what the gear would cost now, but with my dogshit luck I never even came close to being able to buy a Mageblood or anything like that, and no fancy lineage gems like Uul-Netol's or Her Declaration, just a ~25 div Vorana's.

I highly doubt expedition mobs were intended to be as insane as they are though. There's no way they won't at least tune the extreme outliers. The Fubgun video isn't the greatest example since that wasn't his original build that he dumped like 10 mirrors into, and the "kill anything with Arctic Armour" gimmick is almost certainly going to get nerfed to oblivion too, but some of those rares are going to be unkillable by the vast majority of builds. No other content juiced to the max is even remotely close.

Yeah, it's a really good build. When I said I preferred the other builds I tried (grim pillar totem oracle and glacial bolt gemling) it was strictly because the main djinn ability doesn't aim well with controller. It's great for clearing trash in normal maps, you can just hold down the button and controller auto-aim takes care of killing everything. The only downside is movement speed, and there's no way to get any more than I already have except for Mageblood.

For bosses it's weird. Sometimes it will delete them in seconds as expected, other times the targeting doesn't work and you end up blowing all your mana without hitting anything at all. It doesn't happen with m/k since you have to manually target everything.

What is ES? Sorry I've not been playing this game as long as some of you guys, but appreciate the help and answering my questions.
