How does it compare to PoE? I’ve always felt that the power gap between different builds and gear makes playing together less enjoyable. You’re either lagging behind your friend, or so far ahead that they’re still looting the first few mobs while you've already nuked half the map

I have no idea, I don't play PoE1. Once you hit a certain power level in PoE2, the game is a walking simulator so keeping up shouldn't be a big deal. Once you have enough Divs, loot on the ground isn't worth looting unless it is worth a Div or more.

Been playing Hardcore to prep up a character for the THC league that starts tomorrow. It is a totally different experience. I freaked out several times over the past couple days when something happened like getting hit by a boss mechanic or something and surviving. It's a cool feeling for sure. Think I have chosen the Pohx Permafrost build to start since it can go into anything Gemling (which is super broken with gear).

After playing this I went onto my 98 Lich with max movespeed in boots plus the socketed items and a double Quicksilver Mageblood and damn, the game feels totally different when you run a million miles an hour. According to the exp per hour thing on the screen, my 98 lich is like 48ish hours of Delerium 200% grinding from hitting 99......

Finally, my only complaint.

Dr.Retarded I finally got enough to purchase the Garukhans rune, and I just dinged 98 tonight. Planning on fucking around for another day or two and then passing the torch.

Not sure how your weekends go, but I'll add you between tomorrow and Saturday, and I can hook you up on Sunday afternoon. Still have a couple Jade Isles left but at this point I'm pretty much ready to quit.
