man SRS (at least in my build's stage of development) really face rolls the tournament.

I just sit in the middle summoning skulls. and dodge being squashed by super barbarian. when i see one of my boys on a totem in front line. i go help shatter it. then i go back to skullz. when the foe is quiet and i have 20 skulls out, i just hop on a blank one. at some point my guys just fold up all the totems.

I haven't really done any of the TotA mechanic...Are there any tribes you want to "save" for later rounds to get better rewards? Or certain tribes you want to kill asap if they can get OP later on? Or should i just pick the best reward every round?
Dunno how others have been doing it but I'm low rank so take with a grain of salt. I go for reward, unles snothing appeals to me then I go for total favor unless total favor is shitty gods (kitava, tawhoa, arohongi) compared to a good stack of units I need to fill up. Rush good flankers and attackers first. Fill good defenders near the end of the match.

Been working so far haven't lost a match yet.

Flankers >>>>>Escort then attackers or defenders are equal depending on the enemy teams aggression and your playstyle. I tend to play initial D so I'd rather have full flankers, escorts, and attackers harassing them at every point while I defend the fort.

Escorts are VERY undervalued as they do two very important things:

1: they help you channel totems when you attack
2: when you die, they run back to your totem to defend it AND your base. They play flanker and defense. Very undervalued in most of these strat guides.

My strat for 1000+ was getting at least one win over the Night clan because fuck that guy, but the higher I go the less of a real threat he was compared to the shitshow that is Spear dancers. If you knock him out early your chances of dealing with a bugged ass Titanic Shell is close to 0% and if you face in him the final 3 or so rounds he's almost guaranteed to have one and it's got about a 50% chance of fucking you over.

Generally you just go for god tier rewards first, then the most unit currency of value. I'd much rather have 800 Ramako favor than say 900 Tasalio. Certain units are definitely better.

And if you use Fieldmasters on Flanker, beware. They often bug out your other flankers who decide to attack the friendly walls or forget pathing all together and they can completely nullify your team. However, if you use ONLY Fieldmasters they all know how to navigate fences perfectly well for some reason. Even mobile units like Tbirds can get fucked up by their fences.

Sunset Sages are definitely the best flanker unit, hands down. Put either Massive Chissel, Cyclic Baubel, Jawclamp Earrings, or even just Tough Snack and watch them win the whole fucking game.

Why is that one Unique map with Synthesis or whatever wort so much?

Was going to finish the last 4 Unique maps I had for Atlas to be completed. Saw one of them was like 175 Chaos. Decided to wait and then it dropped for me like 15 minutes later. Now I'm scared to run it due to it being valuable and not wanting to fuck something up.

So far the people I hate facing most in TOTA are the dude that does the chaos slinging shit, and the chick that just keeps repeating "I see you"

I get the same feeling playing these that I do from rigged carnival games. Hey, that's a pretty good reward! Oh, it's a turtle on escort protecting it's tower and five others. Runback with a bad reward, no turtle, win. Final round, good reward, turtle is back protecting it's totem and five others. We're over two weeks in and this fucking turtle is still doing this shit, there's no concede button (something I really get time to think about) and no unit count.

The answer to all of this is to stop dragging ass and get my shit together but after getting trolled by the league mechanic I don't really want to go in to the regular game and grind. I logged in to do some trials because I wanted to do some trials and the game decides to randomly go upside my head and remind me that I'm running a bad character but if I was running a good character this one bullshit mechanic wouldn't be straight impossible. I'm going to have to just ignore the other rewards and toss fucko out of these goddamn trials at the open.

Thanks for that.
climbed to 400 raiting in a few hours, about 5d in easy to sell drops id guess. Haven't lost a game yet and the only problem so far that gets my character killed is what looks like some slam earthquake. So far it's been average+ fun but the rewards aren't up to par with say sanctum yet, seems i have a long way to go before i start getting 10d in 15 coins too? ;)

Well my run was 100 coins for 16 raw Divines, so there's your averaging out. That wasn't including the 6 link omen or the 4D 21/20 gem or such, just raw fucking divines, but it's definitely streaky. Think we noticed it at 800+ rating where the currency multiplier maxes out.

The Goliaths of Night, Warcallers, and Hinekora's Horn can all oneshot slam you with little to 0 telegraph so thats most of the problem with those slams. They mostly get me when I get greedy channeling a totem or when I walk into them attacking another unit.

If your character is fun to play but sucks at Tota, just save the coins for another character better suited. I've got 3 characters 90+ but I just funnel them to my character with the best build for it so I don't lose any value from the coins at all. You can also make a cheesy character for it, but I'm pretty sure they're patching tomorrow so we'll see what nerfs they put on the units to make it less ass-poundy.

Played the PoE2 demos a bunch at PAX. Sorcerer sucked balls cause you had no stun resistance and anything hitting you fucked up casting, but everything else felt great.

Got to meet Chris and asked him if he made it to maps in ruthless yet and got the most disgusted sounding laugh out of him and gave me some exilecon cards lol

One thing, regarding the league mechanic, that I have not seen anyone mention or talk about, is how leaving the front line (attacker) slots completely open, turns all of your support slots into flankers.

Essentially, the support slots "help" who ever they are closest to. If you have no attackers, nobody is stopping in the middle of the map to fight, your defenders stay back (farther away from the supports) and you and your flankers are moving to the back lines to kill totems.... and your supports follow you.

One super easy strat that is not only working, but making every round for me even faster, is doing exactly this.

Think Caldera Ravagers and Jade Hulks are "super good" attackers? Wrong, they are the worlds best supports. They stop the other teams defenders from targeting you and the other flankers, and then immediately start killing totems.

TLDR, dont use attacker slots. I don't even put anything in them at the end of the rounds when I have too many units. I still leave them empty. I'm doing this with a fresh character at the moment and gotten to rank 800 and its a dream.

Yeah it was the Cortex map. Decided to run it for completion, dropped a Nurse card for 2.2 Divines so that was a profit.

I've never played this far in earlier leagues. Usally die quick in red maps and quit. But my RF build is rocking along, even got an Aegis Aurora on him. Killed Searing Exarch and the Eater of worlds. Next step is getting fragments for Elder I guess?

Oh man that's a lot of raw divines you guys are seeing. I've gone through about 40 coins so far. But I've only made maybe 125 raw chaos lol

I don't have much to compare with to determine if my guy is bad overall in Tota, playing smite so it's melee so off the bat thats bad, but have like 700k armour with divine flesh and 10% of armour against chaos dam + and 2k/second life overleech +fortify +almost perma berserk so i should be pretty tanky but like i said even at 3-400 rank those slams were already killing me which just seems stupid to me cause nothing else kills me so far.

I presume my build makes it work (poison SRS) but....vaal skeletons really fucks up the tournament AI. i start each match shitting skulls for a bit. then i make the vaals skeletons go out. and all the foes just gravitate into the mosh pit and hang out there fighting. and....i swear in most matches i can use vaal skelingtons like 6 times. my flankers seem to handle the totems while i just shit skulls and skeletons.
