Skill like hexblast get around this because it has an auto targeting component. Like kinetic rain has. And kinetic rain says where the initial targeting are must be.

Idk, might be nice to have a reason to play mines since they murdered hexblast.

The relics also behave weird and lag behind you constantly if you move at all fast. Their AE is not that large.

Too many weird abstraction layers causing delays between you doing stuff and the relics activating + being in range to kill stuff.

And yea poison compounds it to be even worse.
