he was pretty standard generic action man. think Flint from G.I.joe. Race from Johnny Quest.
JUST before Gunn picked up him up, there was a comic reboot on the character that was in development hell. This did reboot him to be a bit unhinged. driven, half mad. fighting against aliens, shapeshifters, and but also seeing them where they may or may not exist.

Apache Chief? I guess some are saying Black Bison but I got no clue who that is. Or maybe Manitou Raven or Long shadow

Really? Long shadow is just a newer version of Chief but younger so I doubt it's him

Eh, Gunn is good at taking the older characters and making them something. Apache Chief is more in his wheelhouse than the newer ones.

First season was great, but there was enough writing on the wall that I wont be upset or surprised at all if this shit starts to suck.

It really is a fun show, even the fat black Lesbo isn't even bad. My friend hated his character from the 2nd movie but loved the show

wasn't the armory in another dimension? thats probably just a roboclone peacemaker that dusts all the weapons off (cuz his dad was the armorer)
