Grumble grumble... Back in my day games made you quit because they beat your ass not because of no damn bugs! Git off my lawn Obsidian.

Also anyone defending this game with their trust fund Santa's wish list of avoiding bugs for success such as "just don't quick save on maps where you will eventually recruit someone while also avoiding spoilers... I guess just never quick save" and "just don't double click any gear and it's game of the year" can fuck right off.

This game is a turd and shouldn't have been released. At least I beat PoR and PS:T before a major patch. This shit is insidious, not like "oh hey the dude won't attack, must be a bug let me reload 3 minutes before and try the other dialogue".
Sucks you have run into a lot of bugs. Honestly, aside from one door not opening correctly (I just console commanded past it), I did not run into any issues. That said, I totally agree the crap that just came in the patch should absolutely have been in day 1 and it is bullshit that publishers roll this crap out and leave it for the customers to beta test it for them.

Just the same, love the game and stoked to start my POTD and Ironman runs!

And this is why buying from GoG sucks.
Yeah, this is pretty much an own goal from them. I only bought PoE from them because I was buying PS:T and pre-ordered there just to save myself 2 minutes. Regretting it now. It's an Obsidian game, I never play those before the first major patch. Both Obsidian and Steam have crunched to get the patch out before the holiday weekend. GoG have not and people will remember. If it was a minor patch then no one would care but this isn't that.
Plenty of other things to play and do so I am not raging but it just means the next time I come to buy a game I will remember this and go elsewhere. I doubt I will be alone in that.

This is the part where I torrent a game I've already bought just for the patch. Makes no sense.

If it does then I don't know where it's supposed to give it to me. It's not in my purchase confirmation email.

I legitimately have yet to encounter a bug and now like what, a week later, all bugs you are talking about have been fixed. Stop being a curmudgeon.

I can't recall any. One of GoG's big things is DRM free games, which by definition means no Steam.

Okay, whatever they did to ciphers sure didn't nerf them enough. Started another playthrough and now I totally see the complaints about how "who needs mages or druids with ciphers around!", especially on the higher difficulties. Reducing the number of rests you can do nerfs mages/druids, but has fuckall to do with the cipher, who is still nuking everything with reckless abandon even at lowlvl. Maybe it will even out more at high, but even at highlevel you can't afford to dungeoncrawl and nuke multiple times a fight with mages/druids.

Even without a cipher, it's pretty easy to steamroll content on hard difficulty. By the middle of the second act, I was mostly autoattacking everything with the occasional druid AOEs. The only real trouble I ran into involved groups of banshees and their chain paralysis.

I think part of that is just party size. Six dudes is actually a lot of dudes. Especially when you get about midway and you're just carrying 1 tank, 4 artillery, and a skirmisher around.

Gonna lone wolf this bitch with a cipher! Or maybe roll a female one and create ugly misformed whore babies with Durance.

It's odd. I didn't hit any bugs. And palum over there was just eaten up with problems. Oh. It did crash once, and there was a strange bug I had for a little where my sword got HUGE. I just rp'd through that one though and started chasing the dwarf ranger around the tree with it.

My playthrough was fairly bug-free. The only ones I know of: never received the dialogue options to trigger the Defiance Bay quest The Final Act and the hidden door switch in level 9 of Endless Paths wouldn't show up until I left the map several times.
