Which is odd as the firmware for my damn Amazon fire remote updates itself over wireless. I had no idea it could even do that until the other day when I turned on the Fire and it promptly instructed me to not touch the remote as it was updating and rebooting itself

Anyone else with a disc system notice the super annoying disc spin noise since the last patch?
Put in R&C and got ready to cringe at the noise...no deal !
It was so bad i had to take my DS disc out so it would not spin on start up..

Since last November, when I first put Demon's Souls in the drive? Absolutely.
It seems to vary from game to game too, which is probably what you're noticing with Ratchet & Clank rather than it being related to a firmware update. I don't have R&C, but Persona 5 Strikers was always vastly more annoying than any of the other physical discs I do have. I don't know why some games access the disc so much even though they're fully installed and the disc is only used for a license check. Every game should be quiet once installed just like Hitman 3 or FF7R (using the PS4 disc just for license verification to launch the free PS5 upgrades).

Setup family accounts so my boys could play a couple days ago. Today I go to sign them in... first one is fine. Second one it makes me change the password first and then says it's banned.
Just kinda beside myself with how shitty and amateur this all is. Resetting the password sent an email to my primary account saying it reset the password to THAT account (and all linked accounts) - which I confirmed it did not.
Of course there's no email about why this new account is banned. Chatted with Sony, they're going to 'review it' within 24 to 48 hours.

Ok started playing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart a few hours ago and it’s amazing and a true look at what PS5 and the next gens can do.
First it looks absolutely gorgeous, and there’s so much on the screen at all times. The other thing is after about 2.5 hours of switching seamlessly between cutscenes and gameplay I have yet to see a loading screen. It makes for such a nice gaming experience.
The game is also really good, great gameplay, funny and always a nice mix of shooting, puzzles, platforming, cutscenes where you never stay doing the same thing for too long before. Really great pacing so far in that sense.

I've always been a big Ratchet & Clank fan. Rift Apart is absolutely awesome. It's easily the best looking game I've ever played. So far(about 3 or 4 hours played), it's exactly what you'd expect from a R&C game, as far as gameplay is concerned. Each world seems to have some cool gimmick to it as well. Early score I'm going 9/10. Will report back on completion.

Dude....Sony's child/family account is so fucking retarded, I don't even know where to begin. I created an account for my step son, when I gave him my old PS4 Pro, and it banned it upon creation. Took all kinds of putzing around to get that shit to work.

When you grapple to a rift and it pulls the world to you, instead of you to it, looks wild every time. And the depth of field blurring out the background to focus the intense amount of stuff going on down to what you are fighting and your "arena", looks so good.
