And there's still only one good game that cost that much to make, and Cyberpunk only cost that much when you count all the post-release support and Phantom Liberty's development.

GTA 6 is $2b cost apparently, but thats gonna make its money back.
007 First Light apparently cost $200m according to a recent danish news report, its sold 3m copies in its first 2 weeks so probably will be profitable and likely has some government funding too. I do wonder about the James Bond licensing stuff, but Amazon seems happy to continue working with IO.

I let my ps subscription expire and not renew. Honestly the "fee" is too much for what you get. I'm more of an owner not a renter. I also really hate buying digital copies of shit especially if the fine print says they can remove it at any time.

People have been shitting on those sorts of controls in cars forever. It’s bad compared to real buttons. The only upside is to the manufacturer and seller because they save money. The end product is worse. Always.

they have 4000-6000 employees, GTA 6 has been in the works for 8 years full production.
If you assume $100k an employee, which is honestly low nowadays, and 5000 employees thats a burn rate of $500m a year in just keeping all those people. One of the big problems Ubisoft has, they have an insane number of employees in extremely high cost of living areas.

No it doesn't? It has trackpads with haptic feedbacks under the sticks if you want to use them, can use them for mouse movement or as buttons, but all the other buttons(which are the default pad buttons, the trackpads are additional and need to be configured) are normal buttons, and the DS4 and DS5 also have had a trackpads for years in the middle, just in one block which is mostly unused but every now and then it's neat.
