It'll be interesting if they pull it off. Reminds me a bit of For All Mankind in the first season or two. Shit, you could probably replace hive mind for AI and have an even more relevant show in current year.

At this very moment I have no idea where this story will go though, which is kind of fun. But also, after two decades of post-LOST television, makes me a bit nervous it's going to shit the bed.

I've given his work numerous chances, including Watchmen, and they go from mediocre to horrible. So yeah, pretty much written his projects off as not my thing.

This show, on the other hand, looks to be traveling into the Vince Gilligan can do no wrong territory (although, yeah, it's way too early still).

I swear to god if I was one of the other survivors, I'd drone strike this bitch just for my own safety and sanity so that she doesn't have a meltdown while I'm in a plane or cause a power outage when I'm in the middle of something important.

Well in order to present Us as an adversary they'll need to do things that are just inhuman. Like culling feeble and weak people who can't contribute, selective breeding programs to improve the stock of the human race, or destroying things that aren't practical because they have no mind for aesthetic and beauty per se.

Reducing all private homes, stores, and stuff to supply depots for efficiency is the first step in showing how inhuman it is. They don't need lights either, or power as they don't require entertainment or distraction. Just total utilitarian activity.
