If you don't want to ruin your YouTube front page suggestions and have to awkwardly explain to your wife or girlfriend why you watched a bunch of YouTube videos of a young girl playing with Lego's here's what you do. Top left of YouTube click the three vertical lines icon, go to history, than click the "x" next to all the videos to remove them from your list, and clean up your front page.

Since we don't have a tangible goal that I can point to I am providing the reward up front right away. I expect you guys to do the right thing and earn it.

I gave them a half dozen lines that popped into my head. In the future if this goes well I might have them do another video and will have a lot more custom lines. The actual video is about 7 minutes long and the rest is "behind the scenes" of them filming and chatting.

If you are doing this on your main account, and it's REALLY messing up your suggested feed, yes.. but again, Youtube takes all this into consideration. Liking a channel, then removing all their vids from your suggested feed has way less impact.

They aggregate your viewing time, subs, and liked vids altogether. If you keep watching the same content, and then clicking and watching similar content they suggest to you, that boosts the 'authenticity' of how much you liked that initial content. This increases the chance they suggest it OTHER users who watch similar stuff.
This is why you sometimes get random weird suggestions that has nothing to do with what you've been watching. The algorithm can do funny things.

ex: You go watch Pewdiepie, but you only get halfway through one video, but you 'like' it. Then, you go watch some random conspiracy vids, but this time you watch 3 videos and finish all of them. If a hundred other people do something similar, Youtube might start suggesting conspiracy vids to people who didn't finish that same Pewdiepie vid. Plus, since the view time average is lower on that one, it reduces the chance they suggest that vid to others.

There's a ton more variables that go into it, but they have figured out ways to determine if you genuinely like certain content or you (or specifically, the content creator) are trying to game the system.

So I made a playlist and allowed his videos to play all night while I slept.
Maybe some of you that have a computer at work but don't actually care if things play in the background would find benefit in this.


Also, you can click the speaker on the bottom of the video to not have any sound play. I'm not sure if it will carry over between the entire playlist, but it may.
