How many junkies have you seen? Any antifa? Wear a MAGA hat and record the results.

Portland reminds me of Atlanta. Except it’s got a pretty empty downtown, it’s easier to get around, all the bums are white instead of black, and everyone looks like a druggy.

Probably for the best.
I honestly would be a poor tour guide of PDX anyway. I never go there anymore and even before it turned into a shit hole I didn't like big city stuff. Too crowded, overhyped events, traffic sucks... you get it.

The only part of Portland worth visiting is the east side of the river.

Unless you're getting dinner at Langbaan. Unbelievable Thai restaurant. Top tier tasting menu.

SF gets all the bad press but Portland is way worse.
I was just in San Francisco (Market St.) on Wednesday. Shit was dystopian. The separation of wealth is on full display with suits stepping over passed out (dead?) junkies without so much as a glance. I saw more than one drone flying around and there was what felt like a constant hum in the air from all the Waymo cars. To be fair I only saw 2 or 3 Waymo's so the humming may have all been in my head.

I haven't been to Portland since pre-covid, but even then I had more than one WTF moment. So I'm not doubting you here, but to say it's worse than SF is a lot for me to process.

We're not quite to there yet, but all the pieces are in place.

Market St is weird. Nice, then empty, then shitty, then nice, then shitty, then nice again, then really nice. And it's not even that long of a street.
