There are a bunch of movies about some supernatural predator stalking Axis and ally troops. Vampires, werewolves, witches, succubi. yeah, sure its a solid concept.
but, the idea that the feminist Predator director would be able to make such a movie and not have it be pure Reddit bait is laughable.

In my review I mentioned she was just ONE of his retarded sidekicks. He also gets a Grogu Merch Monkey Pet, and an Eel/Snake pet that is willing to kamikaze into any fatal shot he is taking.

beats expectations which were around $25m a week ago, so seems like guys still wanna see predators even if they are goofy looking predators
i'm still on the fence this thread is all over the place on whether this is actually a good movie or not, probably just wait for VOD

They were very sneaky with marketing and the trailers. You don't see the Disney little sidekick in any promotional material for example. That was a smart move by them. The synth isn't so over the top in the trailer either. My worry going forward is that this is a test run at making the franchise more family friendly in an attempt at drawing in a larger audience. If so big mistake because it seems a tad too violent for little kids and will turn off the hardcore audience. Goodwill squandered, wont get me next time.

That review video that I linked a few posts up actually had some when I'm guessing is webrip stuff from an actual theater and the scenes and that video are pretty telling of just how bad the movie is.
I was going to be low bar optimistic that it was maybe going to be decent but seeing just those clips, I know this is a turd but that's kind of what I always believed.
It really looks like Disney tried to capitalize on the biggest audience possible with having a female protagonist if you want to call her thst, with her gay buddy predator.
