TWOW does not do shared quest drops and they did not update any of the old dungeons. They have added lots of new stuff over time though. Epoch has updated seemingly every dungeon with new bosses and mechanics.

TBH 1.5exp, significant changed classes, "mythic" classic dungeons and a cash shop is like the opposite of what I think of with "classic" wow. If you wanted a different "game" in the wow world than BB might be appealing but I play epoch because it feels like "classic" from 20 years ago.

In fairness I would have likely planned to try bronzebeard if I wasn't already playing the recently launched classic wow game I remember and wanted to play

I hear ya, honestly it is about the world drops and loot from mobs you can kill that most appeals, gives me a reason to go to areas that are always ignored otherwise. That and gonna go warlock because they can perma charm demons.

Shaman can perma bind elementals too. Which is awesome.

Ascension is absolutely free btw, if you want to buy transmog/vanity/QOL shit from their store you can just use real money or paypal or whatever

Having never played it prior, thst was the only option that came up. They already responded that you just had to log in and play for about 30 mins and then you would have other options.
