Ripper = Dragon with a direct damage attack?
The 'lil dragon series eventually evolve to a 5* form with 50% resist to their matching colour type but get their nickname from also getting a 20k nuke on a 15 turn timer at 5* as well. Getting one of each colour to 5* and level 50ish is one of the biggest midterm goals you can have.

If you are slacking for things to go then as mentioned above getting more than one per colour isn't a waste, being able to go into a wood dungeon with 2-3 sub volcano dragons for example would make you a god amongst men. Or something anyway.

Ripper = Dragon with a direct damage attack?
The ripper name pretty much applies to their "massive _ attack", which is enough to exceed the really high defenses where normal attacks would do just 1 damage.

For the expert mask dungeon, just make sure you immediately target (by tapping on) and take out any divine mask on the same round as another. I made the stupid mistake the first couple times I tried to run it of not realizing all my attacks were only doing 1 damage so I was using up all my attack orbs instead of only using a few to do 5-6 damage and saving the rest.

The masks only have like 15 hp max. Any poison mobs kill them in 1 tick.

OMG, I hate when you are trying to charge, and you randomly get a 12 combo that kills everything and sets you up for death the next round. Bye bye, 25 stamina, thanks for nothing!

Yeah, it's usually best to stick with the top orbs to try and avoid that type of thing. The worst thing about that is it usually leaves you with jack shit to attack with.

For those who are just starting and haven't beaten Satan's Castle yet, I found a great guide for getting the most exp out of your fusions so you aren't wasting coins or drops.

Thanks, been looking for something like this. I've just been throwing everything at my starter dragon while waiting to get a hold of my 30 point whatever her tits. Pretty much just flailing around using whoever from the friends list to save my ass.

For anyone wallowing in mediocrity in the mid/lower tier: If you take one of the Amaterasu's friends from here you can probably manage the Expert Red Skies event. I didn't get the GD dragon, but I didn't have any trouble beating it. Not a fast fight with my shit damage/team, but worth the effort. It's really good exp per stam as well.

My other account is just past where Tonic is. Just got enough points to use my 30pt Minerva.

As much as I loved the Yomi early on, as you advance the extra time just doesn't do much for you. It's nice to get slightly bigger combos, but that's not going to win you any levels specifically. While a good 2x damage guy or various other abilities will make the difference. Honestly think you should probably take her off the desirable starters list, or demote her a tier or something. Even after I get her evolved she still won't be a difference maker, just a nice little perk.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, has to be one of the Ama's that heal 3K+ per turn. Not sure how the hell to tell which those are=/ Think is has to have 600ish RCV.

Poop, 25 stam down the shitter.

Yomi isnt on the "starters" list. Yomi is on the Tier 0 list. BECAUSE her ability is difficult to find and incredibly useful at the upper end of the game. You can roll through Castle of Satan with whatever team comp you want...

You can check how much it will autoheal pretty easily..

If its Amaterasu Ohkami, it will heal 5x their recovery value. lvl 44 has about 360 recovery = 1800 hp autoheal
If its Amaterasu, it will heal around 300hp per turn :p

Siren the Enchanter only gets 3x Heal on recovery but their recovery is higher at lower levels.. a lvl 30 siren the enchanter has 545 recovery and will heal 1500hp...

The problem with Red Skies is the dragon attacks every turn. There are 2 ways to fix that, either an Odin (can be risky, if you go into the fight without max health you're dead) or a 50% fire damage leader.

I've been farming Red Skies Master with my AO (497 RCV) and a volcano dragon friend. My blue team has 3290 ATK.

Edit: Just to note, on master the fights going up to the boss are on the tough side, they were REALLY tough with Odin but entirely doable with a volcano dragon leader (dealing with 5 imps at once when odin only mitigates the first one.... nope). On expert I'm sure they are much more forgiving, but they don't have that sweet sweet 50-75% chance to drop or whatever it is. Plus master is an awesome way to dump stam when I want to go to bed but don't want to deal with a hundred rounds to drop it all.

For those of you new to the game (like me) this list of abbreviations taken from one of the P&D forums will be damn helpful in following the conversations going on here.

General:
- PAD or P&D or PND: Puzzle & Dragons
- Gacha: An Egg Machine (Usually people assume the Rare Egg Machine but it can also refer to the Pal Egg Machine)
- Subs: Non-leader or helper team members.
- FAV: Favorites
- 2.25x Team: Team with two Leaders that have 1.5x damage multiplier (e.g. Indian Gods [e.g. Shiva, Parvati])
- 4x Team: Team with two Leaders that have 2x damage multiplier (e.g. Starter Dragons, Skydragons, Late Bloom Dragons)
- 6.25x Team: Team with two Leaders that have 2.5x damage multiplier (e.g. ADK [Dragons], Valkyrie [Healers])
- Zombie Team: Team with 1 resolve (e.g. Ogres) or perseverance (i.e. Viper Orochi) leader, 1 healer leader, and low HP subs. Resolve/perseverance leader allows to survive killer blows and the healer leader recovers before next killer blow. The low HP subs allows the healer to recover to 75% (for resolve) or 50% (for perseverance) health quickly (usually 1 turn).
- Resolve Team: Similar to Zombie team but using high-end and high-hp monsters, and the healer leader being optional. The difference is that the resolve team is meant to survive most attacks and encounters normally, using the resolve/perseverance ability as a fail safe in case a rare hit would kill you (e.g. at the last round with a really powerful boss)

Stats:
- ATK: Attack Stat
- HP: Hit Points (Health Stat)
- RCV: Recovery Stat
- ATT: Attribute (a.k.a. element [i.e. Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark])
- CHR: Chronological (Sorts by the order in which monsters were acquired)
- + = Refers to stat bonuses for ATK, HP or RCV represented by a '+' sign followed by the number of total bonuses up to 297 (99 for each of the 3 stats)

Mystic Knights/Magic Swordsmen:
- Phoenix Knight Homura #229 (Leader: 2.5x Recovery for Technique Type Allies, Skill: Orb Change - Water to Fire)
- Fenrir Knight Kamui #230 (Leader: 2.5x Attack for Technique Type Allies, Skill: Orb Change - Wood to Water)
- ADK: Ancient Dragon Knight #231 (Leader: 2.5x Attack for Dragons, Skill: Orb Change - Fire to Wood)
- Verche, Knight of the Sky #232 (Leader: 2x Attack for Gods, Skill: Orb Change - Dark to Light)
- CDK: Chaos Dragon Knight #233 (Leader: 2x HP for Dragons, Skill: Orb Change - Light to Dark)

Sisters/Healers:
- Echidna the Red Empress #201 (a.k.a. 5* or 5 star Echidna) (Leader: 3x ATK Damage every turn, Skill: 3 Turn Delay to All Monsters)

- Lilith the Witch of the Night #205 (a.k.a. 5* or 5 star Lilith) (Leader: Extends time to move orbs, Skill: Poison 1x ATK)

Starter Dragons (Leader: 2x Attack for corresponding element Allies, Skill: 10x ATK of corresponding element):
- Firedragon Tyrannos #4 (Fire)
- Icedragon Plesios #8 (Water)
- Flowerdragon Brachys #12 (Wood)
- Sundragon Pterados #16 (Light)
- Moondragon D'spinas #20 (Dark)

Resist/Ripper Dragons (Leader: 50% Damage Reduction of corresponding element):
- MVD: Meteor Volcano Dragon #211 (Fire Resist)
- CAD: Crystal Aurora Dragon #212 (Water Resist)
- GED: Graviton Earth Dragon #213 (Wood Resist)

Dual Resist/Toy Dragons (Leader: 50% Damage Reduction of corresponding element and a secondary element):
- Flare Drall #290 (Fire and Wood Resist)
- Megalodran #293 (Water and Fire Resist)
- Fortoytops #296 (Wood and Water Resist)
- Angelion #299 (Light and Wood Resist)
- Drawn Joker #302 (Dark and Water Resist)

Late Bloom Dragons (Leader: 2x Attack for corresponding element Allies, Skill: 10x ATK of corresponding element):
- Ifrit #113 (Fire)
- Leviathan #115 (Water)
- Fafnir #117 (Wood)
- Divinegon #119 (Light)
- Tiamat #121 (Dark)
Note: Each of the Late Bloom Dragon can Ultimate Evolve into 1 of 4 possible variations giving it a second element. Each variation corresponds to each element except the base element of the dragon (e.g. Ifrit has an Ultimate Evolution for Water, Wood, Light and Dark, but NOT Fire).

2nd-Tier Ogres (Leader: Resolve):
- Samurai Ogre #63
- Ice Ogre #65
- Armor Ogre #67

Special:
- Ultimate Evolution (a.k.a. Busty Evolution): Special evolution only certain monsters are capable of (e.g. 2nd-Tier Ogres, Late Bloom Dragons). Requires doing a power fusion with a specific set of evo-material that varies depending on the monster. The "Begin Fusion" button begins flickering with different colors in a clearly different way than normal to indicate an Ultimate Evolution is going to take place. If it looks like the regular "Begin Fusion" DO NOT click on it as you will waste the rare material and a regular power fusion will take place. Several monsters are not yet capable of Ultimate Evolution in the current US version (v4.2) even though the JP version (v4.4) supports it (e.g. Starter Dragons).

No Odin in tomorrows God Fest makes me sad. I've got 4 pulls, and the only things I really want are Neptune or Hades. It's going to be a rough ride.
For those not aware, this is what is being added:

edit: Ted literally answered most of it as I was typing.

So, increased chance too, or just more Gods added to the machine? I see Yomi in the picture and she definitely already comes from it, me confused.

Much less interested in the event seeing those additions...

Neptune / Hades / Yomi / Venus / Parvarti are stuff I would be happy to see on any of my accounts.

Updating my todo reroll helper account list with that information...
Neptune Hades Venus as helpers (with preference to chaos venus)

Sorta miffed at those additions

Mind if I ask why people like Parvati so much? Is it just because of the orb swap coupled with decent stats? I don't see the leader skill being terribly useful when leader and friend slots are usually reserved for Healer/Resist/Resolve. Parvati is actually the only God I have outside of my starter Indra, but I have never found a place for her on a team.
