So I took all the non stat pieces of singing steel and compared them to the imbured hate mail armor and you lose a shit load of stats and gain.....21 AC

That's with double SS bracers that no one would wear.

The optimal combo would be imbrued with SS BP and Legs for the most AC/Stat allotment.

The real best move would be to obviously get off set pieces as well.

In closing qwerty has donkey brains.

Yup. I don't recall many bards using a full SS set for purposes of actual functionality. Most people only wore a full set because they thought it was cool. Good bards knew better.
