I loved "The Serpent and the Rainbow" and Scream to this day is one of the best comedies ever put out. The sequels are not. It is funny to know that he had a small hand in the making of "Deep Throat" along with other pornographic movies.

Like a lot of other people, he was responsible for getting me into horror. I think I was 6 when I saw my first Elm Street flick. It was #3. I don't actually remember much from the first time I watched it other than being fucking stoked by the Kreuger Snake (goddamn that was awesome) and then not sleeping for days, and not being able to be in a room alone by myself for weeks (it was summer break at the time). But I came out of it loving horror.

Man, I forgot about The Serpent and the Rainbow. Fuuuuucked up movie. But awesome.

While nowhere near his best kills, I also just realized that I still say, "Welcome to prime time, bitch!" at any even remotely (in)appropriate moment.
