While on the various planes I had to take on our vacation I watched;

Ballerina: From the World of John Wick; I give it a 6.5/10. It's okay, nothing great, nothing terrible, I don't regret watching it, and I don't regret dozing off for the last 10 minutes.

Karate Kids: Legend; 5.5/10. It's okay, not structured well and clearly intended to have been a series, wasn't offensive, but was also kind of lame and uninteresting.

The Accountant 2; 4.5/10. Boring, fell asleep and couldn't be bothered to watch the rest of this. I didn't watch it on the plane, though, I watched this in the hotel room and it did not keep my interest.

Godzilla Minus One; 7/10. I liked it, kinda boring at parts and kinda awesome in others.

28 Years Later; 6/10. I only watched half of it before the excessive amount of man-penis and that I realized there were children on the plane made me turn it off. Plan on watching the rest of it just to see how it ends. Wasn't bad but it wasn't great either, Kickass is wasted in this.

Meg 2: The Trench; 3/10, or 7/10. Ambitiously stupid but I had fun. 3/10 as a movie but 7/10 for getting some laughs while not boring me.

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire; 5/10. This was dumb, silly, and just plain stupid. I only got to see the first half but have no intention of watching the rest of it. I wasn't having a bad time watching this but I wasn't really enjoying it either.

yeah I felt like 28 years later was a different movie entirely from the rest of the series. There is some cool parts but its not nearly as good as the previous films.

First half was good, then you take a trip to crazy town. I kind of want to see the next one just to see what the hell's going to happen and if it's going to be even more retarded.

So I watched Gattaca last night.

I like the movie dont get me wrong, but when I look at the whole movie objectively, it just seems like a series of piss and blood tests attached to a sci fi set. Jude laws character is really well played though.

I saw it differently. The path Ethan Hawke puts himself on and his dedication to achieving it I thought was well done. "I never saved anything for the swim back." The love interest shit was a bad side quest.

I just got done watching Psycho Goreman, and it was amazing. Just a fun movie, and perfect for Halloween type stuff. I honestly don't think I've had that much fun watching a movie in a long time.

watched the astronaut because I wanted to see some recent sci fi.

It was pretty bad. I dont even understand how this passes as a story or a movie. There isnt anything there, and the twist at the end is dumb.

The aesthetic, hanging out with Jude Law and Jude's character's arc are all the best shit. "Will our hero get caught" and Uma Therman romance are all whatever. I like it more on a rewatch because I don't have to give a single shit about the murder mystery plot.

Wife had never seen Boondock Saints so we gave it a watch. For what it is it holds up pretty well. 90 minutes of the ultra violence is never a bad thing. Willem Dafoe as the gay FBI guy who keeps calling the other gays fags and slapping his 1-night stand for wanting to cuddle is hilarious. It reminds me of a film like Starship Troopers. I feel like it was designed so you dislike the vigilantes and Dafoe's character but end up rooting for them instead. 8/10

Boondock Saints, Layer Cake, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch are all a lot of fun.

I can go ahead and save you a watch of Boodock Saints 2 though. The sequel is horrendous.

Yeah I don't even remember anything about the second one because I think I blocked it out of my memory with it being so horrendous.

The first one is still amazing. Like I downloaded the soundtrack off of Napster back in college.

Micky 17 is the only recent Scifi that’s worth watching. It’s probably the best Scifi movie to come out in years.

It’s not perfect, but it’s good. I’d say 8/10. Pattinson crushed it. The villain was a bit cartoony but I really enjoyed it. The set design, special effects, and costume design were extraordinary.

The best new movies I saw in 2025 were Mickey 17 and Alex Garland’s Civil War.

Last night I watched Life (2017) with ryan gosling and Jake Gyllenwhateverthfuck.

Basically a shitty version of alien. Some of the kill scenes were cool though.

Ryan Reynolds? Pulled a scream with drew berrymore.

That movie was alright. Albeit I only watched it in theatres and still the ending stood out. They at least had balls to do a proper horror ending.
