Only book I’ve ever read that made me physically ill. It was great but at the time my brain has not been spoiled by the cesspools of the internet and anything I had seen in slasher or horror/body horror just didn’t compare to reading it.

I really really like a lot of Bret Easton Ellis’s work and would love to have nicely published shelf copies. Less Than Zero, Lunar Park, Rules of Attraction, Glamorama are all great.

Discovered a YouTube channel that recommends sci-fi movies that people may have missed.

The Quiet Earth (1985) - really enjoyed this. Super cool ending scene.
Freaks (2018) - surprisingly good low budget film. I thought the child actor was great.

Yeah, The Quiet Earth is great. I have a copy on DVD.

Don't think I've heard of Freaks, I'll have to look it up.

I had to look it up, I saw it a few years ago and remember enjoying it. FOr as low budget as it is it punches above its weight.
It's nice when you find movies like that. The Vast of Night is another one that's lower budget/ indie sci-fi that's really good.

The only part of American Psycho (the book) that I can remember is Bono is the anti-christ. I thought it was really fucking funny at the time and still do.

Uhh yeah, the only part I vividly remember involved an ice-cream scoop and that was like 30 years ago and still gives me the squirms.

Sure. Any movie that even mentions December = Christmas movie.

now-reality-can-be-whatever-i-want.png

I found a list of popular movies that take place around Christmas that technically aren't Christmas movies (like Die Hard).

- Lethal Weapon
- Iron Man 3
- Batman Returns
- Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Bond)
- Mean Girls
- Eyes Wide Shut
- Gremlins
- Edward Scissorhands
- Prometheus

My question for all you nosebleeders is what are your favorite Christmas movies?
Gremlins is absolutely a Christmas movie. Christmas is central to the film.

Not only that but the father is famous for a Christmas song.

Recently watched Lethal Weapon with the wife. Turns out the 1st one is 100% a Christmas movie. Finished 3 tonight and going to watch the last one tomorrow night. I remembered 1, sorta recalled 2 but didn't remember any part of 3. I believe 4 is where Jet Li makes his American debut.

We did the same thing recently. They're still pretty fun movies even if some of the plot points are a bit dated. First and second are still the better ones.

Gladiator 2. So many stupid flashbacks. The sand. The fucking sand. Oh, I got blown while the arena ship scene was going on. Rest was so shitty I don't even. Fuck you, Ridley Scott.
