Tonight's' movie was Lucky Strike a sorta true 'inspired by true events' picture set during the battle of the bulge in WW2. Clint Eastwoods kid starts and is in most of the picture. Really intense flick. Worth a watch and we kept it afterwards. Easy 7/10 maybe another point if you like war movies.

Thanks, I'll have to fire this one up tonight.

so after watching I read up last night and it appears this movie was 'inspired' the same way the '6 mil jew deaths' were inspired , hear say and speculation. still a decent flick. The writer wrote this as a school paper or something.

Well I'll give it a chance because I smoke Lucky Strikes. Best bang for your buck cigarettes out there.

I also love watermelon and fried chicken and have a huge wang. I don't necessarily like malt liquor but I have had it in the past on a poker night when we were just staring each other to drink Old English or king cobra, and the fucking hangover are probably the worst you ever have. But when you're young and in college but it was always hilarious to go out and buy a cornucopia of shitty malt liquor, barbecue, and play paper all evening with the boys. And nobody was a magician, all white wizards.

My moms next door neighbor and childhood friend smoked LS too , not menthols though. After watching ciggies kill my mom I gotta tell you that you are an idiot to do that but I'd die to defend your right to do it. And hell what fine southern white man doesn't like fried chicken and watermelon?!

I had stopped smoking I guess when I fell through the roof. I guess with all the fucking pain meds and just was off of it, you're taking like five different medications it's screwing with your body chemistry and I wasn't fiending for it.

My problem is I went out to go fly fish one weekend I guess I was a little bit more mobile using my Blue Thunder Walker, I stopped at a damn gas station bought a pack of cigarettes and tall boy of Shiner. Proceeded to fish for a few hours and smoke some cigarettes and drink my goddamn beer.

No it's not good for me but I have worked construction for 20 years and I'm always outside and it's extremely difficult and onel off those things as hard is hard to get away from. Everyone on a job site smokes, and I sit and talk with the crews and what have you. Now it's not healthy but I use it to my advantage getting dudes to fucking do a good job on a project.

I've been working on construction sites since I was 18, with the 1 exception of Wachovia bank check processing center (who's #1 client was the tobacco company) every site banned smoking. The wood structures in Vegas ban smoking 20' around any building. Most won't even let you on site. You do you, as stated I support your right to make bad choices. My mom smoked in the fucking hospital the day before she was having brain surgery.

Now for movies: 2 I tried and failed to watch this morning.

Facing El Chapo

Movie may be ok but it was the Mexican version of a Lifetime movie but with guns & drugs AND the english dub over was horrible.

The Mongoose

Nice car but I'm supposed to buy that Ving Rhames is a combat person when he's as big as a tank now. Liam Neeson is monotone the whole time and it's all driving around.

Yeah, loved that movie, and nobody was offended back then either. God, I miss the 80s.
Yeah, you really think about it people didn't get the bent out of shape about stuff like that. I mean I don't remember people getting pissed when the Wayans brothers did White Chicks. The world will assist a better place than the 80s and 90s.

On that note I rewatched the 1984 revenge of the nerds (wife didn't want to watch) - I forgot how wild R rated movies were then. Stereotype city, black/gay/asian/etc but funny and with a LOT of boobs and bare asses. Movie still holds up, even if just barely. Sadly I also tried to watch sequels 2-4 and failed.

The second one's pretty good. But I guess a third one was pretty forgettable and just a straight to DVD production.

My high school and college buddies always do our annual get together every year for a weekend, and it's always known as Trilams.
