A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends on Halloween and everyone else who gets in his way.

I heard the writer/director interviewed. Evidently he can make a movie on a shoe-string budget and bring in HUGE profits (at least in countries that don't ban the film outright). He also does his own make-up and special effects...
I wish I could unsee it. Yes, there is a certain charisma and blank spookiness to the villain. But there is also no REASON for any of it.
Only a few films leave me feeling disturbed for no rational reason. This one did. Why does the killer do what he does? I dunno... BUT if there ever was a film that deserved the idiom "torture-porn" it's this one. And somehow you can't compare Art the clown to Jason or Micheal Meyers or Freddie... Please, if you can explain it to me, please do so. I think the film takes itself way too seriously and torture and death aren't "fun" in this film.
I am surprised it is streaming. I have to go looking for good films. This film has a lot of intriguing elements, but its sole purpose is gore and (predominantly) sexy female stalking and death by horrific circumstances.
Yes-- there is something 1970's about it, but with such a serious undertone that made me feel ill. Cannibal Corpse only did that with the cat scene.
Fuck you, Terrifier (and its sequels). Don't support this crap. Pornstars work harder; support them over sadistic, evil misogyny with no sense of humor or decorum.
