Season 2 is snoozeville. Most dull, fake and gay plot yet. I feel like I’ve seen this plot 50 times before.
Wait, he's about to get saved by a trans self-insert character in the back half the season.

Fuck, I'm agreeing with folder.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised it's turning out this way because the end of the first season was pretty weak with a generic warehouse shootout with dozens of faceless loyal bad guys in that Podunk area. Nothing about this season feels compelling and fresh in any way.

This show has a compelling main character that at least pretends to be not shitlibby. But there is something about the story where it just kind of 'continues' rather than builds. At some point with the whole 'secret police' B plot it's like, OK so there's going to be betrayal and some g-men doing things. The Sherlock 'look at shoes and know 300 facts about man' thing doesn't really help. Maybe it's because the books are more methodical or written better? It seems like it could be interesting but S1 ended up being Hulklock Holmes and the Midsize Criminal Organization.

The gun purchasing scene really took me out of it. what store owner would sell a ton of guns to a guy being so shady and blatantly tipping off he was going to kill people with them?

I took that at a subtle stab against white hillbilly nra type gun selling. Or at least the shitlib perception. I think there are a lot of those types of stabs in this show. Just no one pays attention cause the show ain't good enough to analyze

It's because they're both white! If Reacher was black the store owner would have shot him when he walked in!

Started watching but it feels like kinda bad acting/dialog in Episode 1? I really liked season one and don't remember it being this bad besides himwalking like a stiff bodybuilder.

I mean, it requires significant suspension of disbelief. He's a jacked huge guy with extensive knowledge on a wide variety of subjects and he gets that way by walking around with his toothbrush. It's basically a super hero story. Plenty of stuff bothers me about this season, the concrete bath, the concrete block, etc etc etc. The last episode was pretty good though and overall I like this about as much as I liked Longmire. It's better than most stuff and the wife watches it with me, good enough. There's no way the guitar guy is the bad guy though, that'd be retarded.

Why is Reacher so emotionally unhinged this season?
I think it's supposed to be him seeing how much he is missing out on being a hobo. Like funerals, weddings, family, etc. Which exacerbates his feelings about Swan and how he could have been so wrong about him, but wanting him to be innocent.

How did they possibly manage to switch semitruck trailers in the middle of the road with no room to maneuver. Let alone someone coming down the same road and catching them?

Yeah, I think they are actually trying to write every encounter with the mercs/hitmen becoming dumber and dumber. The whole truck heist was a clown show, and then the "snipers" had to have been hired from craigslist or some shit...wtf was their plan?!?

Also the Hollywood car doors that are bullet proof. Both those chicks would have been soggy hole ridden lumps of meat with the number of rounds going through the door into them.

The suspension of disbelief is really hard on the guy with a truck load of missiles being some hillbilly truck driver on his own with no security, who then stops to help another broke down truck driver on the road.

I don’t care about any of the super friends or if one of them is dirty. This season isn’t good.

Swapping trailers wouldn't be difficult but why would they do it in the middle of a highway rather than pulling off where there wouldn't be random people just driving by asking if they need help? That's much easier to swallow than the idea that they sent a flannel shirt good old boy trucker out with 60 million dollars worth of top secret missiles without even a police escort though.

This is how nuclear weapons are transported. From the way they described these missiles they would warrant similar levels of security.

If a SGT comes under attack, unspecified security features in the vehicles give them, according to the NNSA, the capability to "surprise and delay even the most aggressive adversary". The full range of defensive components in SGTs is unknown, but according to some media reports the vehicles are equipped with autonomous weapons systems and other "high-tech surprises" that allow them to independently engage and repel attackers even if all human crew have been killed or disabled. The NNSA has also stated that access to nuclear weapons held within a SST is not possible, even for crew members, due to unspecified security features that prevent the doors from being opened except in "an approved security area".

You guys are overthinking the whole truck security setup. It was a truck, meant to be hijacked, whose travel arrangements were set up by the bad guy.

Would the government have a role in security for them? Most definitely, but I'm just here to watch a big guy slowly unravel some mystery, and break the legs and arms of the bad guys while throwing the T-1000 out of a helicopter because he forgot about Sarah Connor already.
