I thought it was 25 points per protection type? Am I to understand you cannot possibly cap all protections?Unless we have some modded combat mechanics that armor isn't capped.
The cap for damage mitigation from armor is set to 25 'points'. Prot IV gives 5 points, when you have it on all four pieces you get 20 pts, so you only need 5pts more for each damage source (blast, fire, projectile). One blast II gives 5pts, a proj II gives 5pts and a fire III gives 6. So that armor isn't fire capped and the 3 extra instances of blast/proj protection aren't used.

Also impossible to cap 25 points against a sword hit since there is no special protection against swords. 20 is the max from regular prot vs sword?
I've been farming the nether all week and it's been fine. I haven't played today though.Does anyone else get nasty lag in the nether?
There is a bug with how often fire and lava lighting get updated (just bad code really). I thought they fixed that though. I'd try turning particles down all the way and make sure you wait for all neighboring chunks to load. Yeah I gave up after a while, it was getting ridiculous.The only lag I'm getting is from the spam of messages from a_skeleton_03 dying.
