What a fucking let-down this movie was. It's like they melded two different movies together between the first and second half.
Any of the attempted "humor" was just as others have described -- just...not funny. Like the socially maladjusted guy at work trying to make a joke and failing...repeatedly.
Am I the only one who gets second-hand infuriated watching someone, real world or otherwise, fumbling their way through critical moments? Not just the main character either, in this case. Once is fine, I get it. It builds tension, but after that it quickly becomes irksome. The scientists were just the icing on the cake.
I've got to assume it was Hatten, as the points emphasized by Cregger in the pre-release interviews were pretty emphasized in the first half and more or less flew out the window in the second. How is this dude gainfully employed?
