Hell yeah, first movie was fantastic, second was okay, I don't remember much about it maybe would be worth a rewatch.

I'm on board with another one though. And a straight male White protagonist, shut the front door!

Just finished a rewatch of the 1st movie and man it was pretty great. Didn't remember much about it, definitely room for improvement and some of the CGI was extremely dated, but other scenes were just top notch. Towards the end when she gets off the elevator and is in the room filled with lying figures. That was intense. Pyramid head is a badass and the early boiler / fan room scene with him stabbing through the door was great, yoinking the skin clean off the one chick was amazing too. Whole lot of cool stuff going on. The low part would have to be the extremely spoon-fed voice over data dump exposition.

That first film is fantastic.

I remember seeing it in the theater and was shocked at just how good of a horror movie it actually was, and how well it did with sizing up with the actual video game.

Pretty sure it was a combination of the first two games, but it was pretty amazing for back in the day which is what early 2000s? I rewatched a couple of months ago, and like you, the CGI is pretty lackluster but it's still a very good movie, and I don't remember much about the second film other than it had stupid Jon Snow, but the first movie was pretty damn great.

I started 2 immediately after but only got about 10 minutes in and had to crash. Optimistic these days that my bedtime goes past 9:30 lol.

Already bored of Silent Hill 2. Who thought it was a good idea to make a movie about Silent Hill and then spend like 45 minutes not even in the damn city? Maybe the back half is better.

It's not. It's a pretty shit horror movie. Pyramid Head is a bitch in it and the fight scene is gay as fuck.
