The European Union recognizes Ukraine as a candidate for EU membership and will take part in the process of post-war reconstruction. This was reported by the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metzola. "We officially and quickly recognize Ukraine as a candidate for EU membership."

Imagine being dumb enough to basically say: "Russia you should annex as much of Ukraine as possible because whatever is left, will be added to the EU"
