For anyone who can read and is following along for some reason, the argument was that the winner is *nobody's* first choice. Anyone who can look at a system like that and say "yeah good idea" has to be clinically retarded.
I was thinking about it and I think I've found the solution for you. You simply need to consider our current system a ranked choice system. You indicate your #1 pick and your #2 pick is the other guy, by implication. This way when the other guy wins, your vote still ""counted"" in your retarded way of thinking about it.
