RUSH - Ron Howard's 1970s F1 Movie

Got this movie from the redbox and I'm really glad I did, I really enjoyed this. Was well done all around.

got a blu ray gift of this and watched it, wow. i'm totally not a car guy, never watched a formula or grand prix or anything like that race in my life, have watched a few top gear episodes but mostly for the laugh bits and skip the car porn stuff.

this movie blew me away, would probably have been shit in anyone else's hands but Ron Howard really did a great job along with the entire cast. Gonna pass along the bluray and hope more people see it, I definitely get the hate people have towards the Oscars now, Rush really got screwed.

Interesting that you say you got it as a gift. Seeing, as you say, you're not a car guy.

Do you think the person gave it you knowing this or not? Or did it come down to their own love of the movie and figured that you'd like it on its own merit.

nah not a big surprise, it was from my brother in law for whom I download and share all new Top Gear UK releases, he's a big car nut and thinks I am too since i have a nice car and just nod my head and smile vacantly when he starts talking about engines and porsches, meanwhile I am thinking about how I will defeat the next boss in dark souls

same thing happens in my family with basketball, i love wearing basketball shirts because of the colors and feel of the fabric, but everyone just assumes i love watching it all the time. i don't really know shit except michael jordan and lebron james, but I sort of have gotten good at faking it
