Owlcat is just publishing this one. It's from a Polish studio called Another Angle Games which is apparently a bunch of ex-Witcher 3 and Outriders devs.

Looks like it's been in development since 2019 so hopefully now that they have a publisher it'll be out soon(ish).

I have faith that Owlcat won’t ruin their reputation by publishing something bad.

Didnt they mention in their AMA that they were working closely with a few other developers, helping them out?

They're also publishing another game called Rue Valley, which is an adventure game that reminds me of Disco Elysium.

You mean like games that are incredibly buggy and wildly imbalanced at launch leading to wild roller coaster rides of bug fixes and buffs/nerfs for 6-12 months or longer?

Doesnt matter, think of the nerfs/buffs as more replayability down the line. The key here is they make fucking good games. But hey, dont buy their shit if you dont like.

Looks way too much like this. Not that that is a bad thing.

It looks somewhat different though. In Shadow Tactics, Desperados 3, etc. you pretty much just reload your save or restart the mission if you screw up and break stealth. They are more like puzzle games than strategy. Here, it appears that you start out in stealth, and it's either inevitable or just not the end of the world if you get seen because the game just switches to a standard TBS combat system at that point.

Also, Mimimi fell victim to SBI's grift and then died to 'get woke, go broke' so it's not like anyone else is still making games like this.

was Shadow Gambit full of wokeism beyond the didn't earn it protagonist? Cause the demo seemed pretty damn fun and I've had it on my wishlist ever since.

Not sure. I passed on it at release because $40 seemed rather steep, and their games were known for getting discounts to like -90% and/or showing up for free on Game Pass/PS+/Prime Gaming/GOG/Epic. Then the SBI involvement came out followed by the studio closing and I just kind of forgot it existed.
