It's realistic in the sense that, like any Mike Judge production, the satire is extremely close to home. But the show's object is obviously not to be "as realistic as possible". The show is completely absurd, yet realistic at the same time. That's the genius of Mike Judge. It's why people love Office Space to this day.

Although Chī’s ex-girlfriend later testified to eating young puppies on a regular basis in the presence of her former boyfriend, she told authorities that she was unaware that he had cooked her own puppies and said that she was hoping to cook them on a later occasion.
“Eating dogs and cats is perfectly legal in the state of New York and is a perfectly healthy and normal practice. Dogs, especially young puppies, have very tender meat and are very delicious,” attorney Ling Hun added.
Current New York state law does not prevent an individual from killing and eating a dog or cat or selling meat to another person, so long as it’s not through a store, according to legal experts.

Knew a black dude that was a sales engineer back in the day. He had a frat boy persona he would put on when dealing with certain customers and it worked.
He grew up ghetto but learned how to code switch to “fit in”. I would fuck with him on occasion and say shit like “Am I talking to Harvard Mike or Hayward Mike?” Hayward being the shitty part of the Bay Area he grew up in.
