There's memory shenanigans in the books so if it's any comfort to anyone it wasn't bolted on to the show out of nowhere.

Won't know till the meetup in Episode 2. But they've pretty much signaled the amnesia plot device is already under scrutiny by multiple characters in Ep 1. They'll inform her she's being poisoned at the meeting I'm guessing.

The AI could have a backup plan to keep her memory wiped. In that case if it lasts the entire season I'll admit it sucks.

Episode 2 was pretty good. They have been moving along the amnesia stuff pretty quickly and it'll probably be resolved by like episode 4.

What I figured. 2-3 episodes just by going off the Episode 1 pacing. It was pretty clear to anyone paying attention the amnesia shit was a minor subplot.

Yeah I don’t see it on my Amazon. Same thing happened with Rick and Morty this week, are things releasing early in euroland somewhere or something?

The main audio track was in French with English as the second. Apparently it was an accidental release and taken down quickly.

That's interesting, I have liked the flip flopping this season so far. I'm similarly invested in both. I am glad the amnesia is hopefully on the way out and hoping more connecting the dots on what the AI / whatever silo voice is.

Yeah, I normally hate that method of storytelling (flashbacks in particular) but they are doing a good job of layering the reveals and giving us the breadcrumbs about how they're related to each other.

Is this going to be a Wayward Pines type scenario without the vampire monsters or whatever the hell?

I enjoyed the first two seasons, and will probably watch this one after it's all released.

the book didn't do 'flashback' flipflops. it just had another trilogy after "wool" (juliete's story) called....uhhh i think "shift" or "pact". forget which....which was about the past and the story present, but seperated.

i presume this is being done to smooth the transition into that story arc at some point.

I don't care for the way they're editing the switches. The cuts are so immediate/abrupt that my brain is telling me these things are presented as if they're happening simultaneously, even though they're obviously not.

Well, if it's obvious, then just tell your brain to shut the fuck up? If it's obvious, get over it?
